RAMADA HOTEL—HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA
By Trek6
“Art has been a life long passion” says Oscar Montes, aka Trek6, “dating back to his art upbringing in the 80s when he studied under the mentorship of Puerto Rican painters Andres Bueso and son Andy Bueso.” In the late 80s Trek packed up those skills he had been honing and made the move to the blossoming Miami art scene where he quickly found a role in STV, one of the city’s oldest and most notorious graffiti crews. With three decades to refine his craft and build a large and unique body of work, Trek’s work “dresses the city in color” and in 2013 he was named Miami New Times Street Artist of the Year—just one in a string of awards too long to list here. This beautiful little work was done for the Ramada Hotel in downtown Hollywood, Florida. @trek6 @miaminewtimes @scenesfromthesidewalk
