RIM DE LACENT (。 > ω < 。) ♡ .ᐟ
Daiso has these cute oshi katsu ita bags! I love the mini pouch! And they’re 200 and 500 yen!
"otaku that wants to take stylish pictures of her food with photocard of oshi but forgot and only remembered halfway eating bingsoo so she's only left with an unflattering image of dessert and oshi"
- is the title of this picture
There’s a high-end japanese designer brand called Doublet who put out a $1000+ ita bag with pins and cardcase and all, there’s an “ita belt” too… I thought it was funny that they’re doing an ironic take on the subculture i’m in— oshi katsu… but then i started to suspect if they used AI for the designs and it turns out they do, you can tell in the pins and the photo card as well
they also came out with original anime style characters on their clothes, i really liked the designs at first but then it made me sad that they blatantly took the artwork of people who put a lot of love and passion into their craft. the characters look familiar eventhough i can’t tell what they used to feed the AI, but it just feels soulless to look at
maybe it’s an accidental metaphor on AI taking over the roles of actual people, but if someone says it’s legit because of that that’s a bunch of bs… like these are luxury items, no one is buying this for a shallow message
just… you couldn’t hire an artist in japan of all places? well i get that using AI is kind of the point but if you’re a creative like… think of something else?
