i think i said the same thing on my first playthrough of Trespasser but one of my fav things is really how the Inquisition guards just slowly start taking over the palace and appear more and more standing around every time u come back from a Crossroads journey

i don’t thiiink there’s any story consequence it’s just to show the power and corruption persnaps but i looove it omg. all the big guards standing all over the place, it really has that blind feverish belief vibe for their Herald like daring anyone to talk back to them or harm them in any way

like of course it makes sense Fereldans and Orlesians too have a problem with that esp with the Inquisition taking an Orlesian servant into custody this isn’t their lane at all they have no authority here but the Inquisition soldier just talks back to the Orlesian guard and only respects the Inquisitor’s orders. no matter where Trev goes now they seriously command such a faithful force heeding their word above all else, even laws and authority of the land they’re invited too big yikes but also.... this power......... is going to their head.... they feel good, feel organic...

@honeybee592 yesss like even when i was playing the base game when it released, evne towards the end before u fight Corypheus i knew my character would not be disbanding the Inquisition lol despite what Mother Giselle says about knowing when to lay it to rest. then Trespasser actually came and gave the option of either disbanding and continuing i cackled it was a no brainer i already knew way before then what their choice was gonna be 😂😂😂 MY CULT NOW

@honeybee592 ooh i like this. i’d say they deliberately started to cultivate their worship AFTER seeing their worship? since they didn’t want to be the Herald in the beginning, it can’t be from the start. i’d say prob sometime after Haven is when it hits them that wow there are people who feverishly believe in them as this messianic and divine figure and they start to not deny that because there are benefits to being seen as such. the mindnumbing power they hold starts to trickle in

and especially after the Fade quest, iirc you have the chance to reveal the truth but the propaganda team does not reveal who was the mysterious figure who helped them so everyone outside of the tightest crew thinks Trev is legit blessed by Andraste herself. i’d say another factor is also making contact with the Blades of Hessarian and recruiting them in, whose ranks and fever pitch about the Herald grows and grows. people really REALLY love them and the cult forms and all through it all it is never denied or put a stop to, but actually allowed to florish by Josie and Leliana. it’s an indirect protection too since no one can easily attack them cos they’d face wrathful followers instantly so cultivating their feelings indirectly is the constant Trev mood

ok i used to think their colours were light and dark greys for armour but now on full replay?? i’m really liking the gold. it really fits with the whole everyone seeing them as this divine figure and saviour and them lowkey corrupt eating all that blind worship up. i didn’t tint anything from the dragonbone armour and axe this time and frankly it suits them perfeeeccctly. i like this look so yea their colour now feels very gold and outstanding to me. big, loud, shiny, and messiah-like

(Warden babe also has gold armour but i see hers as not shiny gold, but something more dull gold unlike Trev’s)

this is still the biggest plot twist in my DA life i mean....... i literally have hcs about Stroud now and how he and Os Trev have a Thing (tm) and he also doesn’t die in the Fade cos fuck that shit i want him alive

(also i still don’t consider Hawke and him ~friends~ just passing aquaintainces ya feel but i’m keeping the ring cos i, the player, is a dumbass who has a soft spot for this char who comes for 0.2 secs after DA: I)

it started out as Trev being really confused and irritated being the "Herald" and having all this responsibility? but as time went i could really feel em falling into it and embracing eir position lol. ey's team really pushes the ~saved by Andraste~ angle and cover up the truth with a lot of Inquisition and holy propaganda like even before killing Corypheus, Trev knew ey wasn't gonna disband. the power and wealth that comes with being the Inquisitor.. ey loves it too much to let go. although if you say ey is corrupt or bad ey would disagree and probably not really examine or take it seriously? esp post-game tho like damn.. supporting hardened!Leliana by her throne. it really has that feel of supporting your friend to gain power and then being the threatening honour guard in the shadows capable of slitting your throat in your sleep if you try to make a move against the Divine lmao
