Yes, Korra had walked through the front door more times than she could count on her fingers and her toes combined, but still she tripped on the lip to the entranceway, the painful collision of her knees on the hardwood floor forgotten in her urgency.

“I’m in the kitchen, sweetheart,” her mother called. “I can also hear your shoes, Korra.”
