“If you got a girlfriend, I’m jealous of her, but if you’re single that’s honestly worse.”
“Do girls still think scars are cool?”
“I don’t even particularly like horror, but making sure people get it right is exhilarating for me.”
“Men singing songs about selling their trucks cos women broke up with them is a trend in country music I wasn’t expecting... Why are cis men like this?”
Muse: Sam Arias ft. Joss In-Ze
Open to: Supergirl canons (Alex, Lena, or Kara preferred)
Verse: the lakes
Sam was standing in the empty space that was to become her first big gallery in National City. Hands on her hips, she was trying to mentally plan out where everything was going to go. She could hear Ruby and Joss off in the back of the building talking about Rao only knew what, and Joss’ daughter, Astra, only about four, was standing nearby, mimicking Sam. They said imitation was the highest form of flattery, and when it came to Astra, Sam definitely believed it.
When the door to the space opened, Sam turned her head to look at who came in and couldn’t help but sigh, though had to bite back the laugh as Astra did the same. “Astra, go find your dad and Ruby, will you?” Sam asked, her voice leaving very little room for the girl to argue, even if it was written all over her cute little face that she wanted to. Joss called it her Pseudo-Reign voice, because it was the kind of tone that intimidated even grown men.
“Come to welcome me back to National City then?” Sam turned fully to the person who had entered, a soft smile on her face.
“Are the spray paint fumes getting to me or did you really just say that?”
“I swear, if I had a dollar for every time a gross, straight man has made comments about how they don’t like that not all of my dancers are women I’d have enough money to pay my employees twice what they make regularly at this point.”
“I just want to sit in my red room and play with my cat. Why must I need to do things like ‘work’ and ‘make money’?”
