it’s the middle of the night and i’m watching iron man and idk it just never fails to make me emo that lonely stark – i mean tony stark, made artificial intelligences/robots, gave them names, and talks to them like they’re old friends, even the robots that can’t speak like dum-e. tony stark totally was lonely out of college, rhodey wasn’t his roommate anymore and wasn’t there all the time, pepper wasn’t there yet, and he really made robots to be his friends and interact with him while he worked.

on the fine afternoon I was looking at this message thinking about how tony stark was kidnapped and trapped in a cave but the first thing he did after escaping was not “let’s build a bigger weapon and blow up those motherfuckers” instead he made an announcement to stop making weapons. tony immediately understood it was his own fault to put himself in that situation and he also put many other people’s lives in danger. as soon as he realized his mistakes, he put his regrets in action and tried to make up for it. and guess who was supporting him?? nobody else. everyone thought tony stark was crazy and ruining his own industry. his company didn’t trust him, the media made fun of him, even pepper thought he was out of his mind too. but none of these stop him from doing the right things. he spent months in his lab talking to his AI and robots, risking himself with all the dangerous experiments, not even getting mad at pepper when she misunderstood his intension. he saw things that no one did and he blamed on nobody but himself. in the end he saved everyone’s ass but yet people still claim tony stark is a selfish, arrogant man who never admits his mistakes
