I Know Nothing About Nuclear Reactors

(I literally don't have anywhere to put this and it isn't nearly long enough to be a fic so idk here's a Tumblr exclusive Ostrickpage-)

The self-torture machine that is Hangman Adam Page needs reassurance the same way that nuclear reactors need cooling pools - without it, there will be a cataclysmic eruption that leaves the surrounding area uninhabitable. The problem is that, being a self-torture machine, Ospreay and Swerve have to chase Hangman down and shove reassurance down his throat like a dog and a pill.

If you watched him from the start, you could see the way that he took the world in his teeth and ripped off a part of it, then scurried away, jaws shut, mouth closed, refusing to open up if commanded. He protects his little piece of the world with a clamped jaw, always has - he won’t even swallow it, just keeps it on his tongue, because what happens if he swallows it? Does it become part of him? Does he want it to?

So he cannot swallow reassurance if he cannot swallow his piece of the world, but lord, the two men can try.
