hey, i have a question! i know that there is a branch of magick known as draconic witchcraft, and i have been interested in it for the longest time. if there is anyone here who practices this path AND is a fellow otherkin (especially dragon/wyrm/serpent/anything of the like), please share your experience°•.★

i'm very interested in how you integrate your identity into this path. i shy away from it mostly because i don't know how to approach the Dragons as a sea serpent myself. i feel like i'm such a wee thing and that somehow i will disrespect Them by implying that i'm related to Their kin

My friend posted this on twitter and I thought I’d share it on here! Obviously don’t take it too seriously- things like this are usually caused completely by your imagination. Your brain tries to work out things that don’t quite look like things your recognize, like how you see faces in clouds if you look hard enough, or see shapes and patterns in muddy water, etc. But maybe it can help you out a little if you’re in a tough spot with your identity, or you could do it just for fun!

Basically it’s like the Bloody Mary ritual, but instead of summoning a spooky ghost lady, you’re just trying to see your “true self” in a mirror in the darkness.

Hi everyone! I'm a brand new witch on the scene, looking to make some friends and mentors! I've been doing spells on my own (and without documentation) for ~2 years now, but I'm looking into defining my craft and practicing consistently!

Some areas of witchcraft I'm particularly interested in include:

Spell requests!

I want to work on spell making, sooooo i’m opening spell requests!

These spells will be small, simple and have few ingredients (for your convenience and mine). So don’t expect a super extra ritual. 

Here are spells I can do:

Song spells: Send me a song and i’ll make a spell inspired by it (one that incorporates the song, of course).

Potions: One of my specialties, these won’t be as complex as the potions I usually make though.

One ingredient spells: Spells that only require one ingredient, you!

Bath spells: I don’t know what to put here besides SELF CARE!!!

Pop culture spells: Send me a movie, a character, a book, whatever the heck you want, i’ll make a spell inspired by it.

Otherkin spells: Spells related to your kintype! Either send me an intent of your choosing, or I can surprise you with a random spell relating to your kintype.

Spells: Just like.... spells in general.

Here are the rules:

1. Keep your request simple. I can’t help you find your soulmate or banish a demon, i’m not the right person to ask for those kinds of spells anyway.

2. NO. NSFW. REQUESTS. AHHHHHHH.

3. I will not take love spell requests. Specifically love spells directed at a particular person. Attraction and glamour spells are fine, as long as they don’t go against somebody’s free will.

4. I will not take curse requests, I don’t know enough about curses to create them.

5. Please be patient, it can take a while for me to make spells for a number of reasons (low energy, depression, ect.) I always intend to finish every request I get, but it can take a while.

6. I know absolutely nothing about astral projection/travel, so please don’t ask me for spells related to it! 

7. If you read the rules put a 🐦  emoji in your ask.

i can't quite put my finger on why exactly tonight feels special, but it does. i feel the magick swim through me like a current, tracing its touch along my veins. and, since i can rarely stay quiet about things of great personal importance, feel free to stick around for a small ramble.°•★

magick is not just a practice for me, a set of rituals, or beliefs, or attributes. i can't describe it in any way other than a current, a thread that some beings learn to find, some prefer to ignore and some are tied to since birth. it's a force that flows through everything, whether we recognize it or not.

my personal current is closely tied to my serpent nature and it, too, is ever-changing and shape-shifting. whenever i'm especially tapped into my draconity, the magickal link reignites as well. it feels both ethereal and animalistic. i'm both a beast and a spirit when i embody this current. sure, it's not the only force i can pick up on, because magick in general is a very broad energy that encompasses nearly everything, but this particular kind of it feels like a long lost home. i feel it more deeply and it's more familiar to me than anything else.

i've missed it. it reminds me how alive i am, both in matter and in spirit, and i dearly love the things that make me remember the taste of life.

Past life dream pouch

I haven't finished mine yet but I thought I'd share the spell anyways!

This pouch is to make yourself have dreams of a past life. As with other dream pouches/sachets, you just pur it under your pillow. I am otherkin and though I'm not totally sure if I believe in past lives (or souls, or magic for that matter haha), I figure it couldn't hurt to try something like this. And the main reason I'm so skeptical anyways is because I rarely have dreams as any of my kintypes. I'm sure this could work for human past lives as well though, as long as you know enough about your past life to do this spell.

Anyways, here's what you'll need for the pouch:

Fabric of some kind, preferably a color/pattern you associate with either your past life or dream magic (I personally just used lavender colored felt)

Thread/string of a color you associate with dreams and/or knowledge (I used silver)

Quartz (preferably charged in moonlight because, you know, moon and dreams)

Some kind of taglock to represent yourself in THIS life

Another taglock that represents the past life you wish to dream about (optional: put in second pouch if you want to reuse this one for different past lives)

Bay leaves (for wishes and prophetic dreams)

Ginger (adventure)

Dandelions (psychic abilities, astral travel)

Honeysuckle (intuition [I use this a lot because it grows in my backyard and I love the way it smells])

Peppermint (sleep, prophetic dreams)

You can use other herbs/things you associate with your past life in either this pouch or a separate one. I am wanting to have dreams of my orca life, so I used blue felt to remind me of the ocean, purple yarn for dream magic, and made a little drawstring bag instead of a square pouch because I'd like to be able to open it up again, as I'm using some things I don't want to keep in this pouch forever.

I also am using sea salt, rosemary, sea shells, sand, possibly ocean water (my mate may be sending me some in the mail <3), and some little charms/beads and stuff that is very orca-y to me.

The second pouch is totally optional and it mainly for if you want to use the first pouch with multiple past lives and don't want to make a bunch of different pouches for each past life. Or you could just stick extra things under your pillow alongside the main pouch. But remember to cleanse it after you use it, especially if you're going to use it for a different past life next time!

It’s official, I’m priest-kin... (3rd time’s the charm for confirming it)

tbh I previously thought that I was also angelkin (from the previous person whom confirmed my priestkin self for the second time), but it was in fact that my past selves worked often with angelic beings.

The medieval ceremonial magick and Rosicrucian things somewhat surprised me, but I’ve been fascinated with occult stuff from a young age uwu
