Corvidophil3 (e******[email protected]) submitted: Found in my rain bin in central NJ, do you know what type of weevil this is?
Definitely a broad-nosed weevil, maybe in the genus Otiorhynchus. But not super confident on that as there are a TON of weevils and so many look so so similar.
@ezrakeshet submitted: This guy is sitting on a trans flag in my basement, what is it? (Seattle WA!)
Ohhhh a trans bug! What a nice find :) It's a broad-nosed weevil, but not sure on the species. Possibly a black vine weevil but I've never seen one so brown before! Could be a clay-colored weevil, which is in the same genus, and also found in your location, but normally the legs on those aren't so dark. So we'll play it safe and just say a very nice weevil in the genus Otiorhynchus :)
@kingratbxstard submitted: hey so my friends and I found this bug on one of our bookbags, pics aren't the greatest but that's mostly on me lol. we'd like to id this guy; we live in [removed]! (please redact location!)
It's a weevil! Probably in the genus Otiorhynchus, but that's about as specific as I can get :)
