I am glad that you are bigger shipper of K18 (Krillin/Android 18) I don't see much love in other media. You make me love them much each day <3 . K18 is my OTP along with Gohan/Videl...They deserve more love!

Aw thank you! K18 has always been and will always be my fave DB couple. There is no other db couple I’d invest so much in. Dunno why....they just precious to me! 

My second OTP is Gochi. And I do like Hanvi as well ^_^

I love the fact that Eighteen can easily lift Krillin, I should draw it more often. This was a small doodle for a friend over at Pixiv.

If you had to, could you summarize how and why you ship 18 and Krillin so much?

But I’ll elaborate some more on them, since I LOVE talking about my otp!

Mainly I just want to address a point that has been brought up several times lately; the fact that people think Eighteen marrying Krillin was out of character for her.

I can’t agree with those statements and here is why.

Yes it did seemed a bit strange that she would be married and have a child with Krillin of all people when we see them again after the seven year time skip. After all, we did leave them with her yelling her head off at him and jumping off the tower and him being totally dejected by it. But there are a 2 minor details people tend to forget.

She did say she would see him later.

A lot can happen in 4 years time.

Four years, you ask? Well, knowing that Marron is three when we see them again, let’s assume that it took them around that long to settle down together. We will most likely never know how exactly they came to be but we do know why Eighteen most likely fell for Krillin.

Toriyama has stated that she, coming from a delinquent background, found Krillin’s seriousness and straightforwardness refreshing, and somehow or other she ended up falling for him.

Still vague yes, but I do firmly believe that because of this statement, it was Eighteen who made that first step towards them being together, though it might have taken some time. I really wish Toriyama would elaborate more on subjects such as these instead of skirting around and avoiding what most fans would LOVE to hear. (And this goes for all pairings in Z, for example Vegebul anyone? i mean how and why did that happen? o_O)

Anyway, for me, and yes i do realize I am a bit biased, her marrying Krillin is merely a logical next step in their development. Sadly most of that development took place off manga but we can tell by watching them that they do care a lot about each other. YES Eighteen clearly does too.

It irks me SO much when people insist she is still cold hearted and cares for no one but herself after the time skip (And i don’t agree with this statement before the time skip either, she was more indifferent, a bit selfish maybe and arrogant than cold hearted and emotionless. She certainly did feel fear and experienced surprise/disbelieve during that wild rollercoaster ride when Cell was on their tail.). I am sorry, but they clearly did not read the same manga I did or watched the same anime. It’s subtle but there are certain hints that she does care a lot for her family. She is very protective of them.

With Krillin it’s a lot easier to see though, the guy practically wears his heart on his sleeves after all.

All in all, for me this pairing just works, they’re different but compatible and fit. Their personalities match up yet are very different. They’re opposites yet similar and that is what I love most about them. Plus the fact that they are so protective of their little girl and seem to be really in sync when it comes to protecting her at all cost. They’re just an all around ordinary family and that to me is just too precious.
