March 11th, 2011. It has been 9 years since the earthquake. I joined a Sashiko Recovery Project (@ootsuchisashikoproject). The kindness I have received there changed my life. I thought I went up north to support the people there, however in reality, I received so much kindness from them. I know we “can” be kind even in the crisis. In fact, it shows who we are in the crisis - and the experience there taught me the beauty of who we (humans) are. ☆ Thanks to many people who choose the future of Otsuchi Sashiko, the people there are stitching Sashiko today, tomorrow, and in the future. I know the power of “caring”. It is not from books (I love books). The time with beautiful people taught me the power - I will never forget the day of 3/11, and days I had stayed with them. I wrote some articles on Patreon about this life-changing experience. It will absolutely be a chapter when I write a book. And, as I keep saying, you will be a part of our future by making your own choice. Thank you for your “caring” all the time here.
