#GetItGirl Goes to One Young World – Ottawa 2016 The goal was always to have #GetItGirl all over the world and the perfect opportunity came when I was asked to attend this year’s One Young World Summit for the second time. Last year (OYW Bangkok, 2015) I went with no expectation and no plan. However, I left moved and inspired by how many young global leaders there were making changes for communities, families, individuals and the planet. So, this year (after some great advice) I come with a plan for #GetItGirl.... I plan to go to the summit to speak to as many young female leaders to find out about how they are making an impact and simply get them to take a picture with the oversized #GetItGirl card. At the same time, looking at the needs of women globally and establish a way to grow and develop #GetItGirl. I will ensure the heart of #GetItGirl will remain, which is to express one act kind of kindness celebrating women's beauty, style and purpose handing out cards of affirmation and encourage them to pass that card to another women! When I return to the UK I will do a weekly feature/short blog post on each person I meet and hear about.
