Wait, what happened with your last phone call???
Ok so my hospitality job just called asking whether I could work tomorrow I said no sorry I can’t I have tickets to something so Robbie (the guy on the phone who is like an events coordinator and he’s sorta like a boss too -and we’ve met in person at least twice that I can recall) asks me what’s it for so I say “oh it's a Moulin Rouge sing along so it is like a movie but also an event”
so then he proceeds to sing a little bit from the show “One Day I’ll Fly Away... Duh-duh-duh-something yesterday” and asks: “like that?”
and I said, “yeah just like that!” as I am giggling a little
and so then he asked a couple more questions business-wise blah blah blah flash forward then he told me to have a good night etc so I say “same to you have a good weekend!”
and he says, “oh yes I will because I'm off!”
so then I say, “Ah that's awesome!”
and then he says, “yes and I will be appearing as ah what is that guy's name oh yes Toulouse-Lautrec in the Moulin Rouge sing along!”
so I'm laughing and I say, “that's awesome!” at the same time that he says:
“actually no no I am not,” in a very sober voice
and I said “oh that's a shame it would have been nice to see you there like that!” (or something like that) and then we said goodbye or something I can't really remember because I was trying to hold back my laughter and I think I said take care and we hung up the phone and I just burst out laughing.
And then I caught myself in this act and was like wowzers lol
