i think the saddest thing so far (that i know currently with my knowledge) with saccharina and ruby is that in rubys mind, she JUST lost jet and is still trying to process that loss. but suddenly this whole new fucking person drops in and claims to be the rightful heir of candia and that she is also amethars daughter. which means that she is technically rubys sister and that has GOT to hit hard for ruby because it would almost feel like…replacing jet in some way if she were to accept the fact that this fucking person is her sister. she just lost her twin and now she learns she has another sister and she just doesn’t want to accept that. just…OUCH

ok watched the episode a bit more and seeing how saccharina is making friends with liam that has also got to hurt a whole lot for ruby because well, it’s a bit similar to jet but not exactly. in ruby’s mind, it would seem like saccharina is practically stealing her friend from her and ruby would be mad at that. she would see somebody imposing on her family and her friends and she would even be…a bit jealous. all in all, not a great first impression.
