Okay but technically Jax was right about everything being 'not real'. Or about them not being entirely real. The cast were...their memory files, they'd sort of become AI's themselves. Creative Ai's, like Caine is, but different. I wonder how would've Jax reacted to learning that he's the version, the memories that got left behind and not 'the real thing'

Question for the nerds and the freaks :)) I'm preparing an ArtStand at Con and I need your ✨guidance✨. Out of these, which ones would you go for?

Handmade woodcarving. Trinkets, wands, figures. AND LORE.

Hand-painted patches to add/sew onto your clothes/bags/etc.

Stickers, prints, keychains...stuff of that sort!

Clay Fae! + Character sheets where you can learn about them and their folklore

Construction Models of fictional mech designs, AND cool ass blueprints

Ring bell 1 time for my attention. Ring 2 for surprise. Ring 3 to play a game :)

The idea is to make the experience immersive and fun. If you've ideas, shoot! :)

Remaining time: 2 days 22 hours

So the context to this is that I've been thinking about setting up an Art Stand the next time Con comes. I'm very green at the whole deal, but I've been brainstorming ideas to make the whole deal more unique. Immersive. Almost like encountering a vendor character in the middle of the woods.

Im super open to suggestions! I love crafts of many kinds, so I'm checking out what people would actually be interested in.

Oh I'm in different fandoms too, so these different mediums would apply to each. So um. Time to go wild?

I finally figured my cotl art dynamic-> -> ->

For one, the Lamb has to be insane. Or rather, the crown won't let my Lamb go insane, but there's always something brewing under the surface, the tail-end. Mortal mind vs the powers of godhood under duress GO.

There's got to be a mutual ruthlessness that somehow always goes hand in hand with...not romance, but...care? Only, this shows in weird and metaphorical ways. It's the 'we're both equally crazy for each other'. Not necessarily healthy nor sane BUT the love is there. Also, whimsy. The Lamb fights and lives like they control the narrative. (ha) Think fourth wall breaks but not quite. Weaponized 2014 quirkiness. If they're going to be alive, they're going to make life their bitch and be WEIRD.

I actually still have to figure out Narinder's side of the deal. He's insane, too, but it's a different brand. His mind is not being kept from breaking, he's not being wrapped in bubble plastic. He broke, somehow kept breaking while simultaneously fighting back every step of the way...and now he gets a friend(???) for his troubles. Narinder might be possessive but the Lamb rivals this right back, as well.

Hi, I thought I could share this week's drawing-drawing process. Annnnd rant about it? Considering how many backups I saved just in case I had most stages saved up, (which I tend to forget to do, thank u autosave) but today you guys can walk with me through the fugly process of the drawing that I wasn't sure where I was going with at first, but ended up figuring out.

Sometimes I leave the drawing mid process so I can come back later and pin point all the issues I wasn't seeing before, but if I don't have energy or time to do it at that moment, i just take notes on what I realized I wanted to touch up on. Otherwise I'd straight up forget. A drawing can take me 9 hours to do but one month to finish, for example. It really depends, so its important for me to save the stuff I notice midway and jolt it down.

Oh, also. Sidenote. A lot of the times when I begin a drawing, I don't really have everything figured out from the beginning. Sometimes I think that I do, but its the in the process that I think cooler ideas, or rethink what I already had. So even if the fugly process can be frustrating, it's also a chance to go buckwild and mess around.

(Pro-tip. When you save your art document, save it as 'Save As' not just 'Save'. That way you can save the different stages of what you've drawn, in case you end up regretting reaching some stage of the drawing that you thought was nicer before, and erasing backwards isn't enough.)

Aha get it? The post title? Because The Lamb is in Narinder's hand, and the Lamb is holding what's meant to be Narinder's heart? Also, see how The Lamb is being held prisoner by Narinder's while Narinder has his own chains (because they're narrative foils AND counterparts?) And how the background is supposed to be shaped like an open rib/cage (shaped like a heart <3), because they're not truly trapped when it comes to each other, even though it really plays that way at first? That is, there's no cage. (Get it. Rib-cage? Open rib-cage? Aha)

ANyway, this drawing took me a week..ish? to finish. Mostly because I couldn't decide about some artistic choices and needed space to see the drawing with another pair of eyes. (theyre the same ones. just less tired) I still think there are some weird disparities, but I'll work on it.

Ps: Have a different version of the drawing with another highlight. I couldn't decide which one I liked more, but the first one seemed to be more intense in a way that was calling out to me.

Every time I hear a Spotify add trying to convince me to download Premium by saying stuff like 'you're in charge! :D!' and 'you get a one month trial, and after that you can 100% stop! you're the boss!' I'm thrown back to Faust's tale and how Mephistopheles (the devil trying to lure the guy in) literally uses the exact same trick, the same sort of wording on Faust to get him to sign the deal with the devil. So.

Chapter 12 of Dress Us in Blue & Silver by @imdeadtiredtm and I

“Huh.” Hiccup tilts his head with him, the phone in his hand following the motion. “Bend the rules, how?”

“Watch.”

The nun looks at Hiccup, her eyes flickering uneasily between Hiccup and the road. Jack rounds about the chair and walks to the nun in small, tittering hops. He pauses next to her and stops, taking a solemn stance. The wind stills, the air becomes colder, gains some acuteness typical of higher ground, where the oxygen thins and grates against the throat like sandpaper. Then, Jack takes a step back, and, sprung by a flick of the wrist, begins to dance.

I strongly recommend checking out my friend Isaak's amazing Jack dance off animation moves they made for the chapter. All the kudos.

'Nothing on These Wheels' is a song I made to go with the scenes in chapter 12 of Blue&Silver; where Jack pushes Hiccups wheelchair around town for a fun ride, as they both test the limits of Jack's presence while making the whole thing fun and light, and weirdly disturbing for passing catholic figures.

The laugh at the beginning belongs to Jack's Swedish VA! It's how I picture Jack's voice and laughter in the fic! He sounds way more mischievous and impish, which I love.
