as hard as nails, as grand as a whale.
Pirate warlord Isana design. What do you think? Some light armor, leather chaps over his usual fancy coat and slacks, some fancy fur topped boots, and a gilded sword. I tried a few more medieval helmet styles but ultimately decided why mess with a good thing and gave him his traditional helmet from the rest of the comic.
Saw a post on twitter asking people to list their top 4 Jump series
Excluding One Piece (because it kind of exists in its own category in my mind and it was getting plenty of love in that thread anyway), the four I went with were:
Medaka Box
Undead Unluck
Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro
Straighten Up!
The fourth spot was really tough, especially because if I was going to go with a canceled manga anyway, OumaZoo is a really obvious choice for me, but I went with Straighten Up because I think it tells the most complete and compelling story of those manga
Anyway, shortly after making that post, I realized that there was a bit of a common thread between those four (and OumaZoo too, to be honest), as if there was a specific criteria for what kind of stories end up becoming my favorite
Can you spot the similarities between these series?
