this is an appreciation post for our budgie Morticia, or Tish as we called her... or, more often, "Pretty Bird".
she passed away last night... we had her for nearly 4 years (would've been 4 years as of December 7), which is way longer than we thought she'd last as a crippled bird. she had a crippled leg and also something wrong with her beak/nose... she would sneeze every time she drank water.
she was also a scared little girl, she was very easily startled, and hated when you wore hats or headbands or anything on the top of your head.
she loved watching things, whether it was out the big window in the livingroom or on the "Magic Box" (the television).
I don't think I ever got a video of it but she got SO happy when someone would start playing Skyrim. the menu song (Dovahkiin) would make her sing and get all excited... and, for some reason, Duran Duran. definitely my mom's bird on that end.
rest in peace, Pretty Bird.
There’s a bird. This bird has started coming to our (my family’s) yard every day. We feed them (haven’t figured out their gender) every day. We love this bird. They’re a sweet little bird with grey and black feathers, and they’re adorable.
My younger sister has even planned out this bird’s future. She says that one day this bird will mate. Then, both birds will come to our house every day for food. They will make a little nest in the yard and have little babies. They and their babies will live there. That’s it, the story is incomplete.
The point is, we want to name the bird.
So I need bird name ideas. Anyone?
