I had a dream last night that I failed a test in one of my classes and it dropped my grade to a C. I woke up crying. That says something about our education system...
Equality vs. Equity
This is one of the most significant debates related to our education system. What is the difference, you ask? Equality is when everyone is treated the exact same way, while equity is when everyone is treated fairly. As you can see in this picture, the animals are treated equally, not equitably – which doesn’t make sense! That is how many educators still teach. Students should individually be provided with the specific tools they need to attain the lesson goal. Every student should be considered!
