He wasn’t sure as to how this night would go, especially after what happened with Kurt. But a night with his sibling wouldn’t be the worst thing. He had tried to make his face look a little better, but stage makeup doesn’t do much to cover the cuts and bruises that littered his face. Sighing, he winced as he got dressed, only managing with a t-shirt and sweats before he grabbed the nearest box of pasta and sauce, and headed out to Jimmy’s place. He had a feeling; one of those off ones -- that tonight wouldn’t be the easiest. But only time would tell. He walked up to Jimmy’s door, knocked a few times, and casually let himself in. “Hey, Jim? I’m here.”
She wasn’t going to lie, it had been a while since Sawyer and Jimmy had hung out and just been the stupid, flaky shits that they had been as children. Growing up with someone so similar had been quite the blessing for Sawyer. Jimmy had always, sort of, just been there for her and understood her own neurotic ways. Their friendship had just always been easy and it had been quite sometime since the pair got up to their usual antics.
Rummaging through her junk drawers, Sawyer let a low chuckle. Through the years, her collection of shit had just built up, moving it from place to place and never really sorting through it. She pulled out a tattered photo of the pair, spray cans in hand whilst they beamed with their infamous genitalia art behind them. Sawyer smiled, triggering a thought. Surely she must have had an old spray can in her draw of shit somewhere. “Gotcha,” she muttered after searching for a little while. A battered spray paint can lay at the very bottom and Sawyer wondered if it even it even worked or had any pain left in it after ten years. Either way, she knew Jimmy’d at least appreciate the nostalgic-ness of it all.
Pocketing both the photo and the can, Sawyer grabbed the remainder of the weed she had from the week and made her way to Jimmy’s. It was late but Sawyer was excited to show Jimmy her groovy discovery. Sawyer pulled out her phone, letting Jimmy know that she was out of the front. ‘Yo Jimbo. I’m out the front of yours...’ the text read, ‘Let me in. i have cool discoveries for u.’ Now she’d just have wait for them to get off their ass and let her in.
WHERE: The road from Cotton Plant to Panama City and back
SUMMARY: After not hearing from his sibling for a short while, Silas comes in contact with Jimmy’s ex, Claudia. After a phone call, Silas is off to Panama City to be there for his sibling.
NOTES/TRIGGERS: None, I don’t think. Will add as they happen. This is part one in a series of flashbacks between Jimmy and Silas bc Patch and I are suckers for this siblingship
As he got into his old truck, ready to begin the nine hour drive from Cotton Plant to Panama City, he couldn’t believe what was really happening. Jimmy hadn’t told him a thing; not about the break up; not about what happened after. He hadn’t expected his sibling to disappear off the face of the earth. Really, the idea scared him. Especially because he had called Jimmy fifteen times before his sibling picked up, when Jimmy usually picked up after one or two. It made his heart ache with fear; and yes, he’d admit it was fear. Pure fear that something had happened to Jimmy and that Silas wasn’t there to help. Wasn’t there to stop them from doing something stupid; wasn’t there to for them when they needed him the most.
The drive was long. Nine hours of nothing but him on the road with his thoughts and his broken radio. It got to the point where he ended up sucking it up and getting an aux cord just for the sake of not drowning in silence and static. He was really beating himself up over this; over not being there for Jimmy right away. But he was going to change things. He had to. Because that’s what a big brother did. Made things better; protected the younger ones. It was his unofficial duty.
He got lost a few times, trying to find the place that Jimmy had sent him in a text. But finding it eventually, he made his way up to the door, not bothering with knocking when he found it unlocked. Jimmy wouldn’t care; Silas knew that. And right now, all Silas wanted was to know that Jimmy was okay.
The place was in shambles, for lack of a better word. Clothes, take-out boxes, bottles, various things strewn around the place. It was clear that Jimmy had given up and it made Silas’ heart break for his sibling. He wanted to help in so many ways, but he didn’t know how. The place reeked of alcohol and who knows what; it wasn’t a suitable living space. Jimmy had really let himself go.
When he ( eventually ) found his sibling among the mess of the room, Silas sighed with a shake of his head, walking over to them. “Come on, bud. Get up.” He said softly, his voice dripping with sympathy as he shook Jimmy awake. Drunk or not, Silas was going to get Jimmy home.
some decades ago today, this tiny town was granted the fortune of being the hometown to the two coolest twins this side of the galaxy and for the past twenty three years I’ve had the totally tubular task of being their dweeb of a sister. And while I don’t know that I’d normally advise eating anything I cooked, this time is different!! the cupcakes were bought! I just decorated them in the style of Deadpool to honor your wit-tastic badassary and because i only had red food coloring whoops... so here’s to @silassmythe and @jimmyclip for being #theworldsgreatest #sythemagichour
SILAS: After the small influx of texts he got, he dismissed them all without reading just in case the phone service dropped. Everything about this was panic-inducing; /he/ was panicking. Had been for the past few days despite trying to keep a calm demeanor. But he needed to know that his siblings were safe. If he had time after, he'd call Olly, but his first priority was Jimmy. Jimmy was in town -- they were dealing with the storm first-hand. So he found their contact, and hit the dial, letting out a breath of relief when the call started to go through.
