Today, we punted down the river in Canterbury, England with long time friends, ate a gorgeous lunch, walked up the Westgate Towers, shopped and walked along the very (very) old Canterbury city walls. Description available in Russia and English: | SHEIKH ISA HOUSE | The House of Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa House is situated in the heart of the old capital of Bahrain, Muharraq town, near the Grand Mosque. It is surrounded by houses and Market. Sheikh Hasan bin Ahmad Al-Fatih built this house about 1800 AD. Three generations: Sheikh Hasan himself, his children and grand children lived in this house. It is considered to be one of the oldest houses in Muharraq. Later it was taken as a residence and a center of Government by Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa (1869-1932), who ruled Bahrain for 63 years. The house is divided into four parts: 1. The Family Quarters 2. The Sheikh's Quarters 3. The Servants Quarters 4. The Guest's Quarters. The house has two main entrances, one of them is on the North and the other is on the east, usually used by the guests and accessible to adjacent Grand Mosque. | РЕЗИДЕНЦИЯ ШЕЙХА ИСА| Резиденция находится в старой столице Королевства Бахрейн - Мухаррак, в самом сердце рынка и в окружении жилых домов. Замок был построен в начале 19 столетия, шейхом Хасан бин Ахмад Аль-Фатих, где он продивал со своей семьей, детьми и внуками. Здание считается одним из старейших построек в Бахрейне. Замок служил резиденцией правителя бахрейна Шейха Иса (1863-1932) который правил Государством Бахрейн 63 года. Существуют два входа которые приведут вас в замок: северный и южный.
