So I just looked at my rules page for the first time in... a while. And wow that needed an update. Didn’t even have the right ooc icon in there wtf me.

So yeah did some updates there plus a new addition that’s going on all my blogs.

Has black cat ears though they often blend in with her hair. Has long black cat tail.

Background: Like the others of her kind, Lan Fan was called by Rex Lapis to fight the demons and beasts that had been poisoned by the wrathful spirits of fallen gods. She was loyal to the archon and to the land she loved and wished to protect, and threw herself into the life. Recklessly she used the skills she'd honed to slay every tainted beast that came across her path. And like all the others, she too began to feel the weight of karma as time wore on.

Looking at the destruction around her, the toll it was taking on the other yakshas and the lives that were being lost, Lan Fan began to fall into despair. She thought that perhaps her own end was fast approaching as well. Would she lose herself to madness and begin to turn on her allies? Lan Fan was not the elite yakshas. She was not one of the five. How long could she hold out, keeping on like this?

In the end she realized she couldn't. That one who was closest to her convinced her that this war would destroy them both in the end and so... they fled together. Disappearing from the battlefield and from Liyue's history, to be added to the list of fallen yaksha left unaccounted for.

Thousands of years and she only returns to her homeland on occasion. Though she could never resist visiting for the Lantern Rite.

This pattern changed when word reached her of Rex Lapis' assassination. Lan Fan hadn't attended a rite of declension in centuries but at this revelation she immediately returned to Liyue, filled with guilt that she hadn't been there for the geo archon, to protect him. Still feeling a sense of fealty toward him even after all this time.

Since then she's continued to hang around Liyue Harbor while trying to avoid anyone who might remember her from back then. She's aware that there's still one yaksha known as being alive after all this time, and she can't help but wonder if an encounter with him wouldn't come to blows. Would she be seen as a lost friend? Or the deserter she is?

Powers and Abilities:

Sword Expertise – Lan Fan has been keeping up with her weapon skills for most of her 3200 year life span and it shows. Her strikes are swift, graceful, and often blindingly fast.

Hydro Vision – Bestowed with the hydro element, Lan Fan can charge her blade with the hydro element, sending waves of elemental spirit powered water shooting out with each swing of her weapon, dealing both elemental and physical damage and placing the hydro status effect on her targets for a limited time before having to recharge. The waves travel a short distance across the ground and can hit multiple targets before petering out.

Elemental Burst: Hydro Claw – Like Xiao; Lan Fan bears the karmic curse from her millennia fighting the demons and monsters for Rex Lapis. This corrupting force is brought forth when her elemental burst is activated. For the duration of the burst Lan Fan will forgo all weapons and instead fight unarmed; her hands and feet imbued with the hydro element and taking on the appearance of claws. Her cat ears and tail take on this effect as well, trailing luminescent water droplets behind them as she runs.

While her elemental burst is active, Lan Fan continuously takes damage from the curse infecting her and spreading throughout her body. The only way to mitigate this is for her to continue unleashing her attacks on living targets until her elemental burst fades (in gameplay terms this would be the same as Xiao losing hp and using attacks to restore it during his own elemental burst).

Stealth – One of the things that allowed Lan Fan to be so effective in the war was her ability to conceal her presence and move silently. She was adept at catching the enemy off guard and many opponents fell before they even realized she was there.

Adeptus form – Like all adepti Lan Fan has another appearance; that of a large black leopard with luminous blue eyes. She is fully capable of communicating in this form, but seems to prefer the more humanoid demi human appearance.
