After the controversial decision by MagpieStar to invite outsiders into the clan, GrayFern and CrowFoot have an open discussion about their thoughts.

“I mean I might… not always have faith in MagpieStar, but I do have faith in StarClan. They wouldn’t give 9 lives to just any cat, right?”

CrowFoot responds with a sassy lick of her paw, “If this is all it takes for the clan to be mad at MagpieStar… StarClan help me… I’d hate to see their reaction to some of the things I have done.”

GrayFern chuckles at the queen and the conversation comes to a natural pause.

Just found your clan and I’m obsessed! Tbh I thought hawkkit was adopted bc she looks NOTHING like her family and now I’m wondering if there’s any rumors or scandals about her heritage floating around the clan 👀👀👀👀

there’s definitely been some whispers, but only recently did the whispers reach her siblings… rockykit is the first to tease hawk with the nasty rumor

“Huh? Oh! A feather!”

“Hawk! Look! A pretty bird feather!! Now I can be pretty just like you!”

HawkKit catches PlateauHusk sneaking out at night.

GhostKit catches butterflies.

“I saw PlateauHusk when I woke up from my dream last night.. Ghost? Ghostie, are you listening?”

“She went in the healer’s den, I saw her leave with GoldenHeart this morning. I wonder if she’s sick?”

HawkKit watches KestrelShine’s graduation ceremony from the entrance of the nursery. The young queen that had been helping SleepySong, Hawk’s mother, care for her and her siblings puffed her chest out with pride. In awe, HawkKit watched, wondering why she had never given the queen much second thought until now.

“All cats old enough to fetch their own water gather under The Red Rock for a clan meeting…”

MagpieStar’s voice rung out over the camp.

“Today my precious daughter has proven herself more than worthy to protect the young of this clan. In honor of her hard work she will graduate to a full Queen of Outback Clan and be known as KestrelShine.”

HawkKit overheard GoldenHeart congratulate Kestrel on her early graduation, now that Hawk thought about it she was pretty sure Kestrel was only 10 moons old!

‘She must be really smart’ Hawk thought.

Kestrel always had been fun to play with, and never nagged all that much, in HawkKit’s eyes KestrelShine was the perfect Queen!

‘One day I’ll be just as smart as KestrelShine, I’ll be the best warrior this clan has ever seen!!’

CrowFoot gives birth to 3 kits, she seems more than content to be caring for them alone, no mate in sight.

“3 healthy newborn kittens! 2 toms and a beautiful baby girl.”

“Thank you so much GoldenHeart, they’re perfect. All delivered safely thanks to you…”

The clan welcomes SpiderKit, ScorpionKit, and SnakeKit.

Outback Clan Moon 5

After a particularly controversial decision, MagpieStar is called into question. The clan fills with whispers of whether or not he is fit to lead. There are clan members both in agreement and disagreement of this new policy.

“May all cats old enough to fetch their own water gather under The Red Rock for a clan meeting.”

“I’ve come to the decision that in order to strengthen our clan we must lower our defenses when speaking with outsiders. Those found fit to join shall be invited in… strength in numbers.”

Many cats are suspicious of letting strangers into the clan. Does strength lay in numbers? Or in a small, trusted, close-knit community?

still new to this whole comic thing, hopefully as time goes on they will get better in quality

gonna try many different styles, mostly of background and layout

also hoping to find an easy way to add text soon so it’s easier to read, and so i don’t make so many spelling mistakes lol, procreates text tool sucks tho
