Ok, so I havenāt posted in a couple of days and this is why.
Iām doing more work on FIVR, the cyberpunk expansion to the setting, trying to get the core mechanics in place, and this, along with a couple of races that Iāll stat out soon, will form the core of character creation. This uses 5e rules but is more-or-less classless, or rather aĀ ābuild your own classā system. You will get choices for core mechanics and side mechanics, youāll be able to specialize or branch out, you can basically build exactly what you want. The amount of freedom to build your own personalized character using a system like this vastly expands upon the system weāre given in D&D, and I think thats good because in a cyberpunk setting like Iām working on, the race options are going to be quite limited. Personalization will come from the choices you make when building your character rather than their race, so a pretty stark difference to the 20 or so races Iāve made for vallonde.
The process for character creation will go like so: 1.) Generate ability score normally 4.) Gain common proficiencies 2.) Choose a race, apply racial ability score modifiers, and gain features granted by your race. 3.) Determine hit points using the method presented in the write-up. 5.) Choose background 5.) Gain one primary feature from tier 1 and one secondary specialization. 6.) Donzo
This is very, very, very much still rough draft and in the works and has yet to be balanced in any way, and even with some of the missing core mechanics this is only enough matieral for 4 levels since I havenāt even done features beyond tier 1. I havenāt written written race stuff, I havenāt written background, I havenāt statted out pretty much any items or enemies. All of that stuff is easy though, so once Iām done with the crunchiest of the core mechanics I can start chewing up the little bite-sized bits Iām missing right now.
As always, questions and comments are welcome, especially in this case since I donāt want this to be any more confusing than it has to be. Iād love to hear your thoughts!

Journalist, wanderer, gentleman thief. The magesā last real traitor - if you really want to go there.
But ājust Caitā suits me best.
NAME |Ā Cait Sayegh
MAGIC |Ā an oddity and a rarity, Cait has no connection to magic whatsoever. Some cultures sees that as a curse; his own sees it as a bad omen for their future.
APPEARANCE |Ā Cait is very tall, slender, and handsome, even if heās less-than-polished about it. He has dark skin with scattered freckles, dark brown hair, and brown eyes - green, if youāre feeling generous and itās in the right light. His people are famous for their jewelry and adornments, but all he keeps are a handful of heavy, dull gold rings.
.
PERSONALITY | Caitās the middle child, and has always played peacekeeper. Heās endlessly easy-going, flirtatious, inviting, and adventurous, and pays attention to whether the people around him are happy. Heās sensitive to peopleās feelings, but also cherishes honesty: he wonāt set his feelings aside for others and (...gently) sets straight unneeded drama.
Heās the level head in the room. A planner and a strategist. He sees the best in others and in himself - but he seems to keep getting caught up with people who make that harder and harder to do. Heās under the impression he can save them - and, as well, that maybe he can subtly direct their damaging natures, to get what he wants without actually getting his hands dirty.
.
HISTORY |Ā Cait is from a sea-faring colony that sail their boats between dimensions they build to keep their secrets. Ages ago, they learned the language of the late goddess and taught magic to the people of Imitia, but ended up on the wrong side of the war and were banished.
He took an ill-advised job for the powers that turned on his people, and so was excommunicated. He was supposed to have his memory of their worst, close-held secrets and spells erased, but after some meddling from his sympathetic sister, he was set free on Imitia - with all their weaponry, and none of the power to use it.
Bumblebee design for āMending a broken Sparkā.
Some Pre-triple changer Blitz. Tweaked some of the boys designs a little bit, redid Sniperriffleās wingās and made his face look more like Icyās. Bismuth said we should make his cockpit and visor gold like his optics so thatās what I did. Iāve been experimenting with different brushes and styles and Iām really happy with how this came out.

Hey yāall, Iām trying to get the bare bones of FIVR laid out so fantasy 5e content is on the back burner for now (wonāt be long, I promise).
These two basic races are really the bread and butter of what anyone will be playing in the setting as I want to make it more realistic than shadowrun which, while a fantastic game and aesthetically very good, had a lot of fantasy elements. I want to work later toward more character building variety, but I only have one other race planned and I canāt see that aspect expanding very far beyond that number. Now I just need to do rules for items, some enemies, augmetics, drones, just stuff like that. I want to start my game as soon as possible, so expect it soon, or expect me to wing it and tell you how it went.
Remember, this is all very, very rough and meant as a barebones framework of what the finalized rules will look like, so keep that in mind.
As always, questions and comments are welcome. Iād love to hear your thoughts!

TITLEĀ | queensmen GENRE | high & dark fantasy; new adult; romance; lgbt+ TYPEĀ | first in duology STAGE | second full rewrite SYNOPSIS |Ā Imitia muzzles its goddesses.Ā The elected Priestess controls the pulse of magic, coronaria, that keeps the planet and its people alive. After the wars that destroyed the deity who first brought them magic,Ā the people are forever immortalized - but Priestesses always die.
After her dearest Juniper is taken to be the newest Priestess, Amaryllis swears to bring her home safe with the help of her elf clan. Sheās up against magic itself: Nineira, the guardian of Imitia.
.
The goddess of pythium, the magic of rot and unmaking, warns Imitians to never call on her, but the regalĀ Elias is a favoured acolyte. Heās long used pythium to do the dirty work of his conniving family as they crawled from poverty and into government. She seeks something in the broken edges of Imitia, and her whim is just as enthralling to him as his auntās before.
Elias is a vital weapon, but he and pythium are too dangerous for Amaryllisās ideal Imitia, so she has to have a tighter leash on him than his demons...and sheāll just be rid of him once this is over. Perhaps, then, she shouldnāt have mixed alliances with Cait - an outcast, completely incapable of magic, whoĀ knows the workings of the layers of royalty and glamour that surround the Priestess. Because, more than revenge, he wants everyone to make it out alive.
.
The three navigate Imitiaās politics, kingdoms, and mysteries, allied by the same urge to irreversibly and brutally shake up the chessboard of Imitia - but they want the pieces to land in different places, and arenāt willing to compromise.
But after Amaryllis causes irreparable destruction to her home and clan, she has more than Juniper to protect - her dignity, the trust of her people, and the belief that they were wrong to ever leave her behind. And, perhaps, the belief that Imitia was wrong to deify anyone but her.
The laughing answer comes to him: he is the trade of power that Winona always fought for. Needed, desired, and dangerous to be caught with. They all know he can ruin everything. He knows he can. But for some reason,Ā he keeps waiting to be wielded.
NAME |Ā Elias Asturias - Palacade.
MAGIC AFFINITIES |Ā blood magic - fabrics & metals - basic medical
APPEARANCE |Ā Elias isnāt quite handsome, but thereās the odd perception that his face is too perfect - his skin is clear and veinless, every feature perfectly symmetrical, each structure too clean, like a sculpture...like heās been constructed, somehow. (nudge, nudge?)
Heās 5ā²4ā²ā; has flat grey eyes and black hair that he greases back, but it stubbornly curls at the ends regardless. He appears to be in his early twenties. Wears high collars, generous bootheels, silver accoutrements. Oceanic motifs. Lace. Glass. Heās new money, and wants every inch of him to show it.
PERSONALITY | Palacades come from the first test-run of democracy on Imitia, but he still holds himself like a prince. Heās quiet, words spoken through his teeth and a smirk; he doesnāt make friends easily, but when he does, heās quick to tease & banter.
Heās usually on edge - not likely to lose his temper, but always gripping situations too hard, as if afraid theyāll slip from his control. He likes plans. Sensibility. Being proven right. Look, if he wants to cause chaos, he wants it to have a by-the-minute schedule, thatās all.
Right and wrong are blurry, and instead he follows instinct and orders; as stubborn as he is, and as independent as he wishes he was, heās usually the last to realise when someone has slipped a leash on him. And it happens often.
HISTORY |Ā Heās grown up using an outlawed strain of blood magic that gradually wastes the user away - it was his familyās use for him, and now that theyāve finally taken control of a city, he wants to move ahead on his own. That city, and more. Gather more power, more influence, more connection to the forgotten goddess from whom he gets his magic.Ā
