status: ACCEPTING
He’s unconcious when he gets there, covered in blood and wounds. Being undercover always comes with a risk. This time, the risk was being kidnapped and tortured by a rival gang. There are gashes all over his body, minor burns, broken ribs, a gunshot wound. He’s in bad shape by the time he gets there.
A state that requires surgery and a waiting room of worried detectives waiting for him to wake up. When he wakes up, he startles awake with a gasp. Eyes are wdened and his heartbeat is picking up, beeping rapidly on the moniter. The detective doesn’t realize where he is at first, thinks he’s still back there, until a hand is gently placed upon him to guide him back to lay down and a gentle voice is speaking to him.
It’s okay. You’re safe now.
For a moment, he stares at her, and then he blinks. Heaving chest slows and heavy breathing calms down to a steady pace, the rapid beeping of his heart calms to a calm rythmic pace. “What...? What happened? My team - did they..?” Did they find him? Did they arrest the bastard who tortured him?
God, he hates hospitals. “I gotta get out of here.” But every bit of him is in pain and he can hardly move without feeling like everything’s sluggish and moving in slow motion.
