After watching 7x15 here are my thoughts:
I used to be an active member and content creator in the Outlander fan community. I still pop back in from time to time, but to me, Outlander hasn’t been “Outlander” since Season 3. There have been moments here and there that roped me back in over the last few seasons, but I still didn’t feel that pull in my soul towards it like I did Seasons 1-3.
Episode 7x15? I cried. I smiled. My heart fluttered. It took my breath away at certain moments. It made me itch to create again which hasn’t happened in a very long time. It reminded me why I fell in love with Outlander, both the show and the books, all those years ago.
This episode put at the forefront what everyone loves about and is central to Outlander: Jamie and Claire. It let them be…them.
Pure perfection. Now I need to go watch it again.

“Good luck to you, ma’am.”
And with that, he simply strode off toward the open doors of the church, not looking back. Jamie felt such a rush of fury that he would have gone after the man and dragged him back, could he have left Claire’s side. He’d left—just left her, the bastard! Alone, helpless!
“May the devil eat your soul and salt it well first, you whore!”
he shouted in Gàidhlig after the vanished surgeon. Overcome by fright and the sheer rage of helplessness, he dropped to his knees beside his wife and pounded a fist blindly on the ground.
“Did you just . . . call him a . . . whore?”
The whispered words made him open his eyes.
“Sassenach!”

Outlander 7x15
7x15 “WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART’S BLOOD”
I love how this week’s episode started with Claire’s narration about how war is the worst thing to ever happen and that she lived through so many major historical events. I loved how there was so many flashbacks of previous battles and how they impacted all the characters. What was missed but I wish could have included was flashback of Lord John and Hector from the Battle of Culloden. It was a turning point for Lord John and it would be great to show for the viewer that he also was fighting in that battle. They cut it from 3x03 but I think that it would be a nice gesture to include it this time. It was a missed opportunity.
