Sorry, but some people are too far down the rabbit hole to bother calling out.

In the last couple of days, I’ve been getting DMs and asks from people who are quite upset by the closet crew’s and the SC extreme shippers’ latest mocking homophobic remarks regarding S and T, respectively.

It is unfortunate that the two worst fandom conspiracy groups persist in behaving like middle school mean girls, but honestly, nothing is going to change them. 

The last straw for me was when I (finally) realized that their values regarding these issues are SOOOOO different from my own that I might as well have been speaking a foreign language whenever I tried to reason with them.

It seems to me that once conspiracy theorists have gone too far down the rabbit hole, they rarely come back, because anything that contradicts their conspiracy can always be twisted to support it. 

Calling them out for their homophobic comments does not result in their feeling any shame or guilt, which is necessary to feel if one is going to choose to change one’s behavior. (They apparently either don’t care if their snarky comments are homophobic or they aren’t even aware that their comments are based on gay stereotypes and heteronormative prejudices--and they see nothing wrong with spreading unsubstantiated rumors about someone else’s sexuality--even if that person has made it clear that those rumors upset them.) 

Unfortunately, these women get plenty of support in their echo chambers for their conspiracies and mean girl behavior.

Sadly, some will continue to cling to their conspiracies long after Outlander is over, much like the Twilight Robsten holdouts or the diehard One Direction Larries before them.

So that is why I am not posting the asks I have gotten that include numerous screencaps. Doing so won’t change the conspiracists’ behavior and will just inadvertently spread their insensitive remarks and convoluted conspiracies.

Best to just block them and/or avoid visiting their blogs.

Because arguing with them is a waste of time.

This was sent to me in DM this morning by a friend wanting to expose CRT and the Sam haters libelous claims against Sam. She would love just like the rest of us normal fans to see them held accountable and taken down for their horrendous treatment, and disrespect towards Sam. It seems the mean girls’ and ex-disgruntled shippers have no problem spreading blatant lies. It is obvious this is in response to @p-redux’s recent posts regarding Sam’s dating history with women and him currently being single. Which is not a big deal or something to gasp about. They are just trying to whitewash the facts by attempting to ruin Sam’s reputation/integrity while at the same time being obsessed with P, in order to discredit her in the Outlander fandom as a reputable source of information.

Yep, I posted this elsewhere too. I saw them all posting IG stories on Saturday from that musuem. Also personally I think shes back in the US now based on her social media times so🤷‍♀️ (you watch she will show up somewhere with Sam this weekend and make me look stupid hahaha)

More juvenile, homophobic behavior from certain members of the closet crew

Someone sent me a link to this post, which had this comment:

If meokeob is really a heterosexual woman, then IMHO the above comment is homophobic. Unfortunately, many in the closet crew find this sort of homophobic remark to be entertaining. Would these same women think it was okay to laugh at blatantly racist remarks? I tend to think not.

The color of our lips have to do with our health. I explain more about this below. Anyway, my guess is that S’s lips tend to be more naturally rosy than N’s, perhaps because of differences in health. S may also use Chapstick or another kind of lip balm regularly. Lip balms can make lips appear more pink in photos. 

But meokeob is dishonest in how she cherry picks her “proofs.” The perspective changes when you look at the entire photo.

For instance, in the larger photo, A’s lips look just as pink as S’s. (And no, I don’t think he had been making out with S.🤦🏻‍♀️)

And look at the guy in the background, top left. His lower lip looks a tad pink too.

But of course, meokeob left out the other guys in the larger photo, so she could make her prejudiced assertion.🙄  This is the sort of thing that makes meokeob such a troll. 

For the people at the back of the room, here’s a sampling of what different colors of our lips can tell us about our health.  According to the Times of India:

PALE OR WHITE LIPS: Pale or white lips are a clear sign of being anaemic. This means that your body lacks red blood cells or haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is the main part of the red blood cells and binds oxygen. Therefore, if your body lacks this, then your lips are bound to turn pale. Eating iron rich foods like spinach, dried fruits and breads are a good start to increase your haemoglobin. [...] RED LIPS: Red lips mean your body is overheated. At a time like this, you will see the additional signs of bad breath and craving for snacks. [...] ROSY PINK: Rosy pink lips indicate a healthy body with a balanced mind. So N’s pale lips might indicate he isn’t getting enough iron. In contrast, S’s pink lips suggest he is in good health. None of that has to do with sexual orientation. And one can certainly have pink lips and not be wearing lipstick. 

Seriously, that this is even an issue is beyond juvenile.

Apparently members of the SH “Closet Crew” have forgotten that “those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” 🤦‍♀️

Here’s a recent example of someone from the Closet Crew making fun of Damie shipper beliefs:

The Damies believe that Dornan’s daughters with Amelia are actually his daughters with Dakota. They believe that Jamie and Dakota are together and that Lionsgate prevents them from taking over the relationship. 🤡

I agree that the Damie shipper beliefs are a clown show. That’s not the issue. The problem is this member of the Closet Crew appears to be oblivious to the fact that their beliefs about SH are equally clownish. 🤡

Specifically, the most extreme members of the Closet Crew appear to believe that:

S (a little known C/B-list actor) has been lying about his life for 8 years and has been a party to a complex, impractical plan to keep his “true” sexuality hidden from a small group of fans who actually care. 🤦‍♀️

They believe that every single woman S has dated is a “beard” (including a school teacher and one he dated for 2 years). 😬

They believe S (or Starz) has spent a huge amount of money “paying” women to be “beards” and flying them all around the world, putting them up at hotels, paying for food and expenses, all to keep the hoax alive. 🙄

They believe that one of his “beards” was a “paid escort” who was employed to fool hetero male Bloodshot fans (even though none of them could care less who a secondary villain in the film dates.) 🤡

They believe that all S’s friends, family, and colleagues, as well as all of his “beards’” friends, family and colleagues--along with journalists and numerous fans who have seen him in real life--are in on the cover-up. 🤷‍♀️

They believe that S flirts in DM with random women just to throw everyone off the trail. (Some even seem to believe that he paid a woman to spread rumors of his flirting with/dating multiple women simultaneously--despite the cost to her own reputation as an Olympic athlete!) 😵

In addition, they believe that Starz and/or S’s PR team and/or the “horny grannies” prevent S from leading his “authentic life.” 😱

Some even believe that his long-time friend LN is actually his long-time lover (while conveniently ignoring any evidence that debunks those assumptions). 😂

Maybe we should start referring to the Closet Crew as the “Closet 🤡 Crew.” 🤔 😉

Sorry Closet Crew but when you mock other conspiracy theorists while claiming your own convoluted conspiracy theory is true, you just look clueless.

Sometimes this fandom is so embarrassing 😳

A blind item in the notoriously inaccurate gossip rag Crazy Days and Nights* (CD&N) and later picked up and identified as referring to SH and AM by another inaccurate gossip rag Foxella** seems to have been based on information submitted to CD&N by some conspiracy theorist from the Outlander fandom. 

They gave themselves away when they wrote the claim about AM that:

“She lives to climb the thirst ladder and this is about as high as she can get.”

Being with SH is “as high as she can get?” Seriously? 😂

How about the fact that the “soccer playing,” previous boyfriend referred to in the blind item was Alexis Sanchez?

Alexis Sanchez has 12.5 million followers on IG and SH has only 3.3 million followers. 

Compared to Alexis, SH is a minor celebrity. 

Only a desperate Outlander fan who needs to push their conspiracy theory would have sent a “blind item” as ridiculous as this one to a gossip rag. 🤦‍♀️  

Sometimes this fandom is sooooo embarrassing. 😳

Just received this in DM today from a very nice person, who I will not share her real name with on this post out of anonymity, but I will just call her “Dahlia.” She wanted me to see what nasty Cait stan, Castlemaine123, said about Sam and how she always puts Sam down on everything. I have known this about Castlemaine for a long time. Dahlia calls Castlemaine a “troll” and I agree! If the real Caitriona Balfe and friend to Sam knew some of the things that castlemaine has said about Sam then I believe she would be appalled by it. That includes most of CRT’s mean girls’ group as well. None of them hesitate to lie, make up conspiracy theories, or spread false claims about Sam and those close to him.

Ok, first of all, I entered this fandom because I love everything about Outlander and still do. I love all of DG’s Outlander books. I love Sam and Cait equally, and so do others I follow here on tumblr. We also love the rest of the cast members of Outlander, and respect them. That means not trashing their character and questioning their integrity.

Referring to all Sam fans as “Horney Grannies” is false. I am not a wife, a mother, or a grandmother because I’ve never been married and I don’t have any children. I am a couple years older than Sam. Most Sam fans range in all ages from 19 years old and up. Although, I do know there are some very young fans of Sam, as in kids, who adore Sam. The same with Cait.

How I and others spend our money by supporting Sam is our business and should not be mocked. By the way, Cait is supported too by me and others. Sam’s whisky 💛🥇🥃 is gold and an award winner!!! No one can take that away from Sam, not even trash talk by castlemaine or her mean group buddies.

Castlemaine123 is lying when she says Sam isn’t living an authentic life. She is delusional. Sam’s relationships with women and prior girlfriends have been real because he is a heterosexual man, “duh!” I actually blame her and others she associates with for causing the targeted harassment and bullying he has received. Including, those close to him and family members.

I also know Castlemaine123 has trashed p-redux and her sources because I have seen prior comments stating as such on other posts. Well, Castlemaine isn’t even half the decent woman that Purv is, so castlemaine will always be irrelevant when it comes to the truth in this fandom.

I could go on with a much longer list of her bullshit lies and grievances about Sam but frankly I am worn out. All I can add is that Castlemaine123 is a spiteful, unscrupulous person who should not be trusted. Someone that needs therapy for her hatred and distain towards Sam. She doesn’t represent Cait well as a fan but I also know she is a minority and there are other Cait fans who don’t speak or wish ill of Sam. I appreciate that Dahlia showed me how awful these comments about Sam are and that’s why I decided to post them so others could see the cruelty in them!
