⋆ ◦ ° ☾ daniel gillies + male + he/him — have you seen ezra caine around ? this forty one year old known as the switchblade has been hanging out at moon motel a lot recently. they are acivilian that works as a psychiatrist , and they feel distant about the gangs. a bisexual aries, they are well educated + empathetic, as well as vengeful + reclusive. a quiet cabin on a lake , rorschach tests done to himself , whispered secrets in lieu of pillow talk .
okay so danica needed to sneak away , but in return i bring you ezra who is basically frankensteined to hell but anywho , like this and i’ll come at you for plots ! ( and for once i added some shoddy wanted connections at the bottom , but nothing glorious , really )
ABOUT EZRA CAINE.
born in denver colorado to two military parents , ezra’s dream was always to be the perfect soldier . always so fascinated by the lifestyle of traveling the world and getting to know the people he thought it would be far more than anything he could imagine .
at seventeen years old , with his father’s sign off , ezra graduated high school early and enlisted in the military with every intention on becoming a great marine for his country .
while in bootcamp however , his training officer saw something else in the young soldier , his fascination with the culture of others , his willingness to talk and or listen sent him in a special program that was guided by the cia and to ezra , that meant a chance to see the world , the cia after all worked in all parts of the globe --- to be studying through them was an honor ... but alas , not everything was to be expected .
the program that he’d been sent off to once he’d completed boot camp was , along side his other training in which he’d become a master as a sniper , was one of the cia’s more unethical skillsets ... interrogation .
for ten years ezra worked as a skilled interrogator for the government , brought in on site to question accused terrorists , their families , so called enemies of the country until finally , he’d decided enough was enough and got out , making sure to take his granted MD IN PSYCHIATRY with him .
home , however had not been the same . while away -- his parents had long retired and relocated to florida but ezra knew he wouldn’t favor the heat and chose instead to remain in colorado , though denver didn’t feel much like home . it was in valdez , a town little known to many , where he’d decided that he could make a new life , working through the hospital in the psychology wing , making rounds in the prison , and eventually opening up his very own practice . what was little known to the townspeople however , was ezra had long off aligned himself with the savages , working as a special operative when he was approached the moment he’d set up roots .
the savage life was enough to keep him satisfied , while finding himself bored of the growing war , he’d watched people live and die through the city by way of gang violence and up until one year ago ---------- he ‘d maintained his identity , until he opted to ‘retire’ from the gang and simply focus on his practice .
as the gang war began to heighten , he sometimes misses the old savage life , finding himself furious at the cobra action started against the caito family and believes that by the upheaval of balthazar a more dangerous war began to brew , but for the time being he sits on his porch with a nice cup of coffee , annoyed at the clear baited cockfighting done by the two gang leaders , wondering if he’d be better suited back in the world of savagery .
PERSONALITY.
ezra was raised to believe the world has strict order , while he started out with a very black and white mentality , after some time his opinions changed and he sits more in a grey neutral zone ... or tries to . while it’s evident he still favors the savages in this foolish gang war , he prefers to keep to himself , living in a quiet neighborhood where his neighbors are fairly far apart and he’s often prepared for the worst with a gun handy at all times .
in honest , ezra is kind of an asshole . while not blatantly disrespectful , he’s known to be dismissive of people when they aren’t sitting in his chair for work , but don’t let it fool you , he’s a hardened kind of asshole who deep down offers a soft heart but the idea of letting anyone get close enough is a dangerous concept .
overall , he’s your typical angry grandpa type , he’s seemingly bitter over plenty of things and often keeps others arms length.
also a small note - he does suffer from slight ptsd, while he claims this is not debilitating
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
the clients --- self explanatory , not only does ezra have his own private practice , but he also does rotations at the local hospital and prison . he also runs a group for trauma survivors at the local church .
drinking buddies . ---- ezra loves a good whiskey after a long day of listening to other people’s problems .
ex / current / on and off flings ---- self explanatory , ezra has been in a few real relationships over time , but these are more temporary fixes to his much larger issue with loneliness .
ex boyfriend , girlfriend ( long term ) ----- another one , self explanatory , ezra has had a few relationships that may have amounted to something
the best friend ---- he’s been living in valdez for just over fifteen years, they’ve likely known each other as long, one of the few people ezra can actually open up to , honestly .
someone trying to convince him to return to the savages ( !! ) this is a big one , as ezra only retired a year ago , he was a major asset to the savages as a special operative and his ability to interrogate and get information out of people is off the charts thanks to the cia training . it’s something the savages would likely want back on their side before risking the cobras getting their fangs into him . which leads me to !!
the cobra trying to convince him to join their side . they likely sense the instability in ezra’s allegiance and while it’s no secret that he is not a fan of the cobras , this muse thinks he is worth the effort to see their ‘grand plan’ in the making .
