My thoughts on the Rowling lgbt+ shenanigans:
She wrote a worldwide classic series dealing with a number of characters; including Albus Dumbledore
While some people get up in arms over the fact she never explicitly stated that dumbledore was gay in the books, I ask at what time is it necessary for a grandfather figure to go “oh by the way, I’m hella gay and had gay sex with my ex boyfriend before I found out he was literally the worst.” to the child he’s guiding??? Because honestly, the man was so tight-lipped about things, he might as well have welded his mouth shut.
Also, the fact that people are now up in arms over the “intense sexual relationship” after crucifying her image for “not giving proper proof” of Albus Dumbledore’s homosexuality, need to pick a goddamn side. Is it because she called him gay and didn’t show it or is it because she made him explicitly gay? Because you can’t have it be both ways! Either he’s celibate and desexed for your homophobic comfort zone or he’s “ruining your childhood” for being an adult and wanting a healthy sex life.
//Like this for starters! I’ll get to them shortly!//

A!U idea
With the death of Ariana Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald left the battle of three wizards a changed man. Something in him realized that the path he was falling into was one he would not be able to claw his way out of if he didn’t change. He fled into the night, never to return to England, something in his still-human soul recoiling at the death of one so innocent.
But rather than turn to the dark arts and begin a campaign of conquest, he sought desperately to teach others to resist the siren’s call.
It’s Albus who becomes the Dark Lord. Ever more powerful and manipulative and clever than his friend who’d set him on his dark path and freed him from his family. Oh, he’ll mourn his little sister, but the world he will build will be in her honor.
