Is it weird that I see all these TO spoilers but the only thing I REALLY got excited about from this episode was
Elijah finally getting laid. I been wanting a sex scene with Elijah forever. Idk why I just have. Though back in Season 2 of TVD I wanted it to be an Elejah one. oops.
Grief and this fandom's unnecessary reaction to it
I been wanting to comment on this since the nutty backlash of this fandom due to Season 6's reactions to death. Elena misses Bonnie and acknowledges that her death makes her sad but Damon's makes her insane. Elena see's this. First people get upset Elena is going crazy with grief over to what the writers called the love of her life, that she's using witchy drugs to see him and being all dangerous. Then they get mad she resorted to asking Alaric to erase all her memories of loving Damon. Not of Damon. She asked to forget loving him. Then they get upset over that. (mostly DE people)
I admit as a DE person it made me sad, but I get why she did. She understood her way of grief was dangerous. The only way to keep her from slaughtering the whole town was to fix her broken heart. So she did. Do I like it? No. Do I understand it all yes. Now onto Stefan. Do I think he is being a dick to some people?
Yes he has his moments this season. But he just lost his brother and he thinks he isn't getting him back. He too is grieving in his own way whether fans agree with it or not. It's realistic for people to handle death differently and sometime it's dramatic like Elena or sometimes it's indifference and trying to move on like Stefan. Whatever gets the person through something. Just because we don't like how a character (or person) grieves doesn't make it necessarily "wrong." Stefan is not a dick he's just sort of being one right now because he thinks if he can just say my brother isn't coming back, he's dead he can move on. He needed to get away and not think about everyone. If moving on is how he's coping right now I support it. I don't like it. I support it. There's a difference sometimes. Sometimes you have to still Stan a character even when they do something you hate. Because you get the why. Same for Elena.
She's not crazy, she's just was being a little crazy over Damon. She realized it wasn't healthy how she was grieving and asked Alaric to help. Is it a dramatic step that isn't fair to Damon? yes but Damon will understand why she did it if he gets back with Bonnie.
There's a difference between character hate and hate of something a character you like has done. No character deserves actual character hate for how the writers chose to write them grieving. Just my two cents on that matter.
I'm unable to watch The Originals on my television set. It's broken. And can't watch on my computer. My mom is probably going to dvr it for me. Either way I'll be watching it later after it airs. You may spoil me if you want to. I don 't mind spoilers. I'll still watch but please tag your spoilers for those that do mind and are like me and can't watch.
Pet Peeve of mine
When six years later people still bitch their favorite parts of the TVD books were changed. Oh trust me I've been a huge book series fan of a certain series and have had my rants over a screen adaptation. But I'm also reasonable. It's been six years and the tone of the show has already been established. There's a very common tactic amongst TV writers and producers when adapting a popular book series. Use as many basics from the books as possible and throw in some curve balls along the way. You as a book reader have already read the books. You know exactly what will happen.
Sure the story is new to those who have not read the books, but television writers and producers are in it to make it fresh for everyone. The whole concept of adapting a novel to show is to very loosely do it without losing the 'gist' of the story.
This tactic is nothing new. Same for movie adaptations. It's not as easy as everyone thinks to adapt every single detail for screen. There's things like time that come into factor or if a certain scene will play out well on screen. Some scenes are easy to write or read but not easy to watch. Visual images vs. written word are also a factor in some screen adaptations.
It's the writers jobs of these television series and movies based on books to decide very carefully what to keep and what not to. They do their best to stay true to the basic story but they won't change an already established tone of a television series version to appease you after they're into their 6th season. If a connection didn't work out in the first half of the television series from the books they're not going to bring them back in a later season to force it. It still has to fit the show changes regardless of what happened in the books. If you prefer the book versions then just stick to them. Don't continue to watch the show and bitch every week.
Hey I prefer the Southern Vampire Diaries novels than the True Blood show and stopped watching after Season five when I realized their changes will never compare to my favorite parts of the novel. I rather let the show fans enjoy their version of the story without my wining on their dash all the time. Than continue watching it and pretending I liked the show's take. Once again the tactic of drastic changes to surprise novel readers is nothing new. It's something we all gotta get used to.
I love Lorelei gilmore and would think she'd make a hilarious vampire. Watching Gilmore Girls and telling myself reasons why I SHOULD NOT make a Lorelei blog just to cross it over into TO or TVD or TB for my personal amusement. someone stop me please.

A Brazilian couple danced their dance at their wedding to Heaven Knows. Great song but when I saw it I sort of wondered instantly what sort of relationship this couple had. Then it started to make me think what couples that song would fit as a wedding song. I went through all these ships in my head and got amused again. And after talking to Ree about how morbidly romantic Mortica and Gomez were in the Adam's Family after someone said they should play Gomez, well they're possibly a candidate for this song as a wedding/vowel renewal song. :P idk I am a nerd.
I'm liking this rumor that Kaleb is Kol actually. Though I don't see where Sebastian let it slip like people are saying and it could be just a rumor but if it's true that'd be interesting. This is one 'rumor/spoiler' I kind of want to be true. Only because in my head the only people I've seen come back in other bodies were witches. Which means Finn possibly has not returned as a vampire but a warlock which means by that theory Kol as Kaleb would be the same. Actually Kaleb was already said to be a warlock. I would love to see a human /warlock Kol for some odd reason. It'd be interesting. That'd be rather amazing to me. Also Esther did promise a family reunion in the previews. Though I can't see Kol working with his mom, so if Kaleb is Kol there is something else more to it. I mean obviously he just wants to be alive again. I'd love to see Kol use mom for just that lmao. Idk. this is definitely one of the only Kol return theories I like.
