//BIG UPDATE FOR THOSE STILL HERE So I will be back on starting next week! I know I’ve said this many times, but I’ve finally decided that I am going to start coming back over the course of a month or two. So I’ve recently picked up drawing and I was wondering if anyone would help me with a project on diversity! UPDATE //You know how I said I was going to be back this past week? Well, I’ll be on tomorrow. I was going to get on for the past few days, however, I've been working on a fanfic that is perfect for anyone and everyone who loves angst (all of your favs get hurt in different ways). So I have a few ideas I’ve been coming up with for the past forever if you want to RP but don’t have ideas: -Bones and Spock mind meld during STB leading to problems after -Spock reopens that injury during STB while saving Jim from the vacuum -Spock and Jaylah truly meet

-Spock wanting to take his Elder’s place on New Vulcan

Just hit me up tomorrow with any ideas because I’ll be online more. I’d love to be on tonight but I’m trying to finish my first chapter of my first true fanfic!

//I'm back and okayer than ever. I finished my college applications, finished marching band season, and began writing my own book. This means that I'll be back on today, doing well due replies and taking any new thread ideas or asks. Hopefully I'll be on every night to be with my favorite people on earth. I love you guys <3

//Well hello again my lovelies! I had to come back for the anniversary of the greatest thing on Earth. I finished my 4k word paper, cried about changing major, and am now applying to college. I wanted to be back much sooner but I’m a procrastinator and hate myself because of it. If you want to read my 3.8k word paper on primes numbers in RSA cryptography, hit me up. I’ll be studying tonight, but I hope to get through some replies this weekend while I’m working on my personal essay. I love you all and thanks for sticking around through all of this! <3

To all canon roleplayers:

DO NOT criticize your own writing, saying that it does not sound enough like the canon version of your character. DO NOT tell yourself that your writing does not perfectly mimic your muse or hate the way you write their dialogue.

The character I write normally speaks intelligently and eloquently, and for the past few years, I’ve felt as if I was sub-par to the character that was portrayed in the movies and show. Only today did I realize that the voice plays a major role in the character. I realized that not only did my writing style match the script’s but that I overcompensated on vocabulary trying to make it sound perfect. 

Looking at other’s roleplays, I saw that overcompensation was common when the character’s dialect and word choice was distinct and different from their own writing style.

DO NOT criticize your own writing. Consider this: there is only so much you can describe with words; the characters you base them around can easily portray things that are hard to put into words, and their voices can create a mood around the character that is nearly impossible to write. 

You are a good writer and don’t let anything make you doubt that, especially not the media. YOU ARE GOOD. Never forget that the muse you write is your own, and even if it doesn’t match the style of the hundred of other muses out there, yours is the perfect one for you. Never doubt that.
