Hey I'm a gay afab trans guy and I'm really needing some validation. I can't go on T because I have a history of strokes and I don't have enough for top surgery and I'm just feeling like I'm going to die alone because no gay man will ever love me. I guess jsut seeking comfort and support.

There are still plenty of gay men, both cis and trans, who will see you and love you for who you really are. Of course there are also those who wouldn’t, but that would be the case even if you were on T and had surgeries - you can never be attractive to everyone.

Above all else, I’d recommend focusing on loving yourself for who you are. Your value isn’t determined by which and how many other people like you. What’s most important is that you’re able to be comfortable with yourself and love yourself for who you are, embrace the things you can’t change and keep working towards the things you can change.

I am so glad you wrote that PSA about lube oh my god I have seen some of the most ridiculous things in fic. Molasses and honey are weirdly popular "lube substitutes" which is just. Ugh. Also a lot of anal without any lube whatsoever. The authors seem to think anuses just... open up when a person (specifically a man) get excited. I have to close those immediately. Christ. River water. Jesus. That's new and awful.

Also ugh, honey? Really? That’d be just so sticky and...yeast inducing for so many people.

I flinch at any story that has no lube in it. I could understand if it was coming from a place of inexperience and lack of knowledge, but I see it in a lot of older and supposedly more experienced writers too, and this is the age of google where a quick safe search for “how does anal” work will come screaming back to you with “USE LUBE USE LUBE USE LUBE”

As an autistic person, I personally wasn't offended by the joke. It wasn't a value judgment-- no one was saying that autism makes you less in any way. It's true that a common symptom of autism is obsession over details and incongruities. It's also true that a lot of extremely gifted individuals are neurodivergent (not necessarily autistic, but in a lot of ways extreme giftedness can be equated with neurodivergence as it usually arises from "atypical" brain function, and many other (1)

executive dysfunction disorders, including OCD, are highly correlated with extreme giftedness). Personally I felt really validated. Autism is almost never mentioned casually in media without some kind of judgment or sob-story that portrays treating people like me as complex individuals as some kind of heroism (that whole thing about a woman not yelling at an autistic person for decorating her cake differently than she expected, etc.). Plus Deadpool is canonically neurodivergent (2)so it's not as though the portrayal is of some soccer-mom with that "perfect" child talking about her friend's autistic child in hushed tones, or something ableist like that. Do I like that the scene was written by a neurotypical person? No, I'm not crazy about it. But I really like the normalized, casual acknowledgement of the way my brain works without the kind of drama that's usually attached to any mention of autism at all. (3/3)

I just want to deal with OP's point about how "perfect" Peter is. Peter canonically uses other people's suffering and problems as a medium for self-deprecation rather than truly mourning them. He has a weird, controlling relationship with MJ in many of the comics due to his conviction that he's somehow responsible for everyone's lives all the time. And he has a hero complex that can be detrimental or dangerous. No one is claiming that Spideypool would be a perfect relationship. (1/2)

(2/2) The fact is that Peter and Wade are both on journeys of self-redemption and self-discovery, and along the way they both end up being manipulative, pushing away important people in their lives (Aunt May and Cable come immediately to mind), and playing a part in multiple deaths. They both struggle with mental illness. And none of those things make them inhuman. Nor does it make a relationship impossible or invalid; people have unhealthy relationships. It's childish not to acknowledge that.
