i dont like how people are claiming that sigma is unnecessary because he came out of nowhere but forget that the plot and characters of overwatch is just written by the seat of their pants and most of the characters introduced and in the game dont have anything foreshadowing to them like

sombra was mentioned once by reaper and the rest  of her info had to be datamined in order to find anything about her and moira was in overwatch all along but she wasn’t mentioned at all until she was ntroduced in the game proper

everyone thought orisa was gonna be doomfist but it wasnt and hammond being a hamster came out of nowhere

ashe was never mentioned by mccree at all despite being mccree’s old partner AND the leader of the deadlock gang and baptiste has ties with no one in the game and was never mentioned by anyone in overwatch OR talon despite the fact that he apparently knows too much and is actively targeted by talon agents

....but sure sigma is bad cuz he wasnt "foreshadowed” enough
