Redrew this screenshot I got from when I replayed the game! Twisted Wonderland and Omori are two of my favorite games and I really wanted to redraw this Sweetheart Scene!
AN: Lady Fall... I really like the sound of that. I feel like I gotta make that a permanent thing everyone has to call me by 🤤

“Off with your head!”
“Ack!”
Another student, another head sent rolling.
The taller boy gasps on the floor with the heavy collar choking his neck. Riddle’s shadow overtakes his huddled form while he struggles to get to his feet.
He deserves this for breaking the rules!
His chest heaves erratically as he watches the student with an almost feral look in his eyes.
“Do not disobey me again!”
The student flinches as he tries to crawl away from Riddle. A small crowd of Heartslabyul students has started forming as they watch him inflicting punishment on yet another clueless freshman. Their eyes are digging into his back and he’s swiftly turning to face them when he notices. They cower once his eyes even briefly glance into theirs and quickly avert their gazes.
“Does anyone else have anything to say?!”
Riddle doesn’t think anything of it at the moment. No one would know unless they were watching for the slightest of his eyes widening and his breath quickening when he realized how many students had seen him losing his temper once again. His mask never slips until he reaches the safety of his locked room.
I need to stay calm! I can't keep losing my temper!
If Trey and Cater were to find out, they'd be disappointed. If Ace were to find out, he'd ridicule him. If Deuce were to find out, he'd try to remediate. If you were to find out, you'd be extremely upset with him and…
What if you left him?
No, she wouldn’t leave me! She loves me!
He hates how he can’t control himself, but it’s their fault!
It’s never his. He’s absolute. He’s right!
That’s why he’s the housewarden. That’s why his word is law and that’s why you would understand. You always understand him and you always forgive him even for things he could never forgive himself for.
Cowards. Miscreants. Troublemakers!
He was seething as he just finished beheading four more freshmen for threatening his sovereignty in the common room. Plotting to overthrow him with the rest of the freshmen? What made them think they could get away with such a thing and especially where anyone could walk in at a moment’s notice? It’s almost like they were trying to get caught.
… Were they?
He shakes his head as he sits alone in the common room with a cup of tea that has long gone cold.
He doesn’t have time to worry about useless matters such as these. Uprisings are a common matter for every housewarden.
But never has a whole dorm plotted against their leader…
He grits his teeth as he stares at his reflection in the tea cup.
I don’t have time for this.
With the Unbirthday party approaching, Riddle tried to believe that the atmosphere wouldn’t become worse.
“Please, please! You have to help us, Y/N!”
Y/N?
Riddle stops in his tracks. He had been walking down a hallway to his next class, but was now peering out of a window from the direction of where he heard your name.
“We told you Riddle was out of control!”
“Now we’ve all been collared!”
No, it can’t be!
His darling red rose was being surrounded and harassed by those he had “taken care of”. A troubled expression formed upon your face - furrowed eyebrows, pursed lips, and even small beads of sweat shone upon your glistening skin. The top buttons of your shirt had been popped open and your blazer was missing.
Did they do that to you…?
His grip tightens on the windowsill as his face starts to turn red.
They will all pay for their transgressions. But not in front of you. He can’t risk it.
He can’t show himself in front of you until the Unbirthday Party where he’ll have a speech prepared to convince you that they deserved this. That they’re far too unruly for their own good and need discipline and punishment.
He didn’t want to have to resort to these measures, but they’ve forced his hand.
The atmosphere was awful around Heartslabyul. You saw collared students running from the garden in a hurry and knew you would probably find Riddle throwing a tantrum in the center of the maze.
Honestly, I should have another talk with him…
However, it didn’t feel like one of his normal rampages. The hedges were curved in a weird way and the ground itself seemed to be trying to escape the housewarden’s tea party.
That’s weird.
Riddle was throwing one of his Unbirthday parties that you were always invited to despite not being a member of Heartslabyul. You opted to skip the parties most of the time due to being stuck in detention with Grimm, but this time you felt you had to go to implore on behalf of the poor students under his reign.
Riddle said he was only collaring a few troublemakers. Why does it seem that everyone has been beheaded? You slowly approach the location of the Unbirthday party in the maze despite hearing the students running past you yelling about certain death and destruction. You had thought they were just being dramatic, but…
“Riddle?!”
You gasp in shock as you see him about to skewer Ace with one of the numerous pointed shrubs that were floating in the air. His attention is immediately directed to you and for the first time, you feel fear. Riddle would never harm you; he barely ever even yelled at you like he would at the others. But this time…
It’s like the world is on autoplay with the way Riddle starts charging at you. You can’t even run as he’s knocking the wind out of you with one of his thorned vines wrapping around your waist and flinging you into nearby furniture.
“Y/N!”
You hear Ace shouting, but his voice fades along with your vision.
Where…
You’re seated at one of the ridiculously long tables that would be brought out for a party in Heartslabyul’s maze. The atmosphere is still dark and oppressive with wilting greenery floating in the air and the rest of the bygone party a mess scattered on the floor.
My head!
You rub a palm onto your temple as you recall walking into the Unbirthday party and seeing Riddle had overblotted into something monstrous. Pain begins to bloom in your stomach and radiate through your body when you reach the part in your memory where Riddle had thrown you like a ragdoll.
I need to get out of here! I need to-
You barely get to stand from your seat when you feel something sharp curling around your ankle. You gasp in pain as you tug at it but it’s grip only tightens.
“Where do you think you’re going, my red rose?”
He’s harshly pulling on the vine and you let out a small scream as you’re sent tumbling to the ground. You land on your back and try to scramble to your feet, but another tug has you thinking otherwise. You decide to sit up on the grass and at least look at who was attacking you.
Red hair, red eyes, their dress is identical to the shape of garments that Riddle would wear, but their voice was odd and distorted, the blot hovering around them and that twisted grin. He was nothing like the Riddle you knew.
“Where do you think you’re going, my red rose?”
You didn’t even realize you were staring until you heard him repeat his question. Your tongue struggles to speak as your brain refuses to comprehend the situation in front of you.
“The tea party awaits. Sit. Have something to drink.”
Tea party?
The tea had long been spilled onto the floor along with the appetizers and desserts, but rejecting him felt like certain death at this moment. You shut your mouth and nod. Despite the pain, you manage to get to your feet and limp into the chair you had been dragged out of when you had first woken up.
You flinch and gasp when a vine unravels itself and comes towards you with a broken pitcher. Milk mixed with dirt and debris of dead flora mixes into a muddled slush that’s poured into your teacup. The once pristine table cloth and remaining food is covered with the branches and leaves of the shrubs he was throwing around along with what you hoped wasn’t oxidized blood.
Your eyes must have lingered too long on the reddish-brown stains because the vine on your ankle is tightening again and making you hiss. You pick the teacup up with trembling hands and his grip is loosening.
“My dear rose, do you think I’m right?”
No.
“Of course…”
Your voice comes out as a weak whisper but Riddle doesn’t seem to care and starts to ramble. He continues to ask you a question and then stares at you until you give him the correct answer. It's an endless loop of stroking his ego and keeping your expressions under control all while your blood pools beneath the table.
“Y/N, you love me, right?”
Your attention on the teacup in your hands is broken and you quickly look up to stare at him with wide eyes.
“W-what…?”
The vine around your ankle tightens once more and you’re straightening your back as you nod in agreement. But this time, the vine doesn’t slacken.
Wrong answer.
“Hmmmm, unconvincing~”
You falter as you feel another vine slithering up your leg and wrapping around it. The thorns threaten to pierce the cloth as your eyes dart around while thinking of what to do, what to say, what could appease him.
“Rose, do you love me?”
“Yes, Riddle! More than anything!”
The vines relax and seem to fall to the ground as you let out a sigh of relief.
“Your word is absolute, Riddle…”
"And?"
"You're more correct than anyone or anything..."
He gives you a radiant smile which would have been endearing in any other context but it makes you shudder as you think of how you’re stuck under his whims until someone rescues you.
