3rd year riddle 🌹
It’s really sad realizing that it’s likely that nobody actually likes Riddle genuinely or being around him, it shows deeply especially during that scene where everyone throws things at him. They just put up with him, but most people just see him as an inconvenience or a nuisance. Maybe that’s why he acts so difficult in the first place. It’s clear everyone just sees him as a spoiled and entitled brat despite everything that happened to him. And because underneath everything he’s such an emotionally sensitive individual, he can tell that people around him hate him. I think Trey is the only consistent person who actually cares about him and understands him because Chenya isn’t able to be around 24/7 as he goes to a different school.
he had to be this
to protect this
i do wonder if parts of that dorm just wanted to push riddle to madness by rebelling and breaking rules constantly…
“my mother was a brilliant woman, always accomplished and always right, who’s better to trust than her?” yes because why WOULD you want to believe the person who kept you stable in every other way but emotionally and mentally your entire life wanted anything but the best for you? or so you thought…children want stability. even though she’s EXTREMELY emotionally abusive and controlling as all hell, she did provide in other ways in terms of education, food, shelter, etc. it’s so hard with these kinds of abusers…hyper competent, clean slate, intelligent, providers…i understand why riddle has so much trouble believing anything but her way is the right way…she has everything under her belt to make him believe she WOULD want the best for him…but it completely cracks him coming to terms with the fact she was actually horrible and abusive. despite the events shown, i believe 98% of the time, her abuse is HIGHLY underhanded but those specific memories REALLY stuck in his brain of her yelling and getting physically abusive.
Pokemon Assignment: Riddle Rosehearts!
Pokemon?
Rapidash, Delphox, Houndoom, Armarouge, and Roserade
Why?
Rapidash is very recognizable for having a flame mane and tail. Riddle is also the club leader of the Equestrian Club.
Delphox was made with witches and wizards in mind. It is incredibly strong, and intelligent, with its fire being able to reach 5400 degrees fahrenheit/2982 degrees celsius.
Houndooms are very infamous and received a large amount of fear in the past and even some now. They and their pre-evolution, Houndour, are known to be able hunt people down.
Armarouge resembles a suit of armor. Not only does it work for Riddle himself, but Heartslabyul as a whole.
Roserade lures in prey with its toxins and aroma. It is also the closest we’ll get to roses.

Wither and decay / Freedom is obedience
Wither and decay
End this destiny
Break these earthly chains
And set the spirit free,
The spirit free...
Rapunzel Riddle exists in canon but has anyone ever considered him with the decay incantation from Tangled the series?
Or have we considered how losing all your senses and going into a trance-like state as you destroy everything around you isn't too dissimilar to overblotting?
