"Yes, I am glad to have weaknesses if they are for Christ. I am glad to be insulted and have hard times. I am glad when I am persecuted and have problems, because it is when I am weak that I am really strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10 (ERV)
"When I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength]." 2 Corinthians 12:10 (AMP)
Not being perfect, making mistakes, having weaknesses and problems does not make you a failure. The devil just wants you to think they do. God knew what He was getting when He made you, so He's not surprised if and when you mess up. It's okay to be HUMAN. God doesn’t love you any less because you don’t get it right all the time. He loves you just the same, no matter what!
If you could do everything on your own, you wouldn’t need a Savior! Jesus came to save you, because you need Him!
People WILL give you a hard time for being a Christian. Why? Because the enemy encourages them to do so. He does not want you to have a glorious eternity in Heaven - he wants to destroy you now. All kinds of other stuff will also come your way: problems, heartaches, days when nothing seems to go right! Most of these are either the enemy or because of unwise choices you may have made. If you need to confess anything, tell God and let it go. He forgives you the moment you confessed. Do whatever YOU can do towards fixing your problems, and then move back and let your God work. Because when you have done everything YOU can do, that is when HE will STEP IN and do what you can’t do. You and God are a team. He has power beyond measure to help you. Amen!
