Cool Fir wood camper build by @vardobuilders Built on a ’98 V6 Toyota Tacoma - the camper is framed with Douglas-Fir 2x2 and 2x4 and insulated with 1.5” ridged foam. It’s sheathed with 1/4” and 3/8” plywood with a Redwood bender-board ceiling on top of custom doug-fir glu-lamb arches and then sided with 3/8” clear cedar T&G. Meticulously glued, screwed, caulked, sanded, oiled and varnished. The roof is a temporary pond liner but it will be copper. It has a total of 8 hidden tie down points, 4 of which are turnbuckles that go through the truck bed to the frame and the other 4 are ratchet straps to the beds tie-down points. It has 4 detachable rieco-titan hydraulic legs that operate manually or with a drill. The interior is paneled with Cedar bender-board and built out with lightweight cedar framed cabinets and shelving. It has a full+ size bed and comfortable seating for more than 2. It has a full kitchen with a 3-burner propane stove/oven with a hood vent, running water, 12v fridge/freezer, and a Dickinson propane heater. It holds 21+ gallons of water and 11+ lbs of propane. Powered by a 12v lithium ion 170ah renogy battery with two 170 watt flexible renogy solar panels. The camper battery is also wired to the truck’s alternator so that it charges while you drive, it never runs out of juice. There are multiple 12v outlets and a 1000 watt inverter for 120v power inside when travelling and a shore power hookup outside that’s used to charge the battery when stationary as well as supply 120v power inside. It weighs 1700 pounds dry and was designed with the intention of transplanting it onto a slightly larger truck with a custom flatbed for extra storage as well as water and propane. #Overlanding #overlander #overlandinglife #overlandinglifestyle #overlanderlife #expeditionvehicle #overlandvehicles #offroad #4x4 #4x4camper #explorer #offroadcamper #adventurer #adventurelifestyle #4x4adventure #homeonwheels #overlandingusa #campinglife #campinglifestyle #vardocamper #woodencamper https://www.instagram.com/p/CPzU4qSnGy-/?utm_medium=tumblr
