Captive

“What are you doing here!?” She shouted, her rage coming out in her sharp tone and clenched fists. What was he doing here!? She wanted Scrooge not this imbecile! Not this man who always got in her way it seemed. Him and a few others, she swore she would never be able to escape anybody from the old duck’s family. She wanted them to stop interrupting her plans, stop foiling them as if they were no good. Perhaps they really were no good, but they worked well enough when the spells actually wanted to do what she wanted them too! This time was not one of those times, this time was one of those times where she could see with the sharp eye of her abilities that her magic was not cooperating in the slightest, luck had it out for her it seemed.
She released the male from her trap, let him fall to the ground with little remorse. A rough sigh escaped her throat as she went to her books again. She had to find where she messed up, had to figure it out so she’d never have to see this fool’s face again. “Where did the spell go wrong? I don’t get it…” She slipped around her library, fast and quick like a snake slips around it’s prey. What could she have done wrong at all? She did everything right. Pulling out a few books she looked through them, flipping the pages with speed and precision. Her eyes ran over the words, the text on each page, before grumbling and putting the book back in it’s place. Could it be that it was just not the proper spell for that job? Could it be that she just made a mistake. Perhaps some other fool was with the old duck! Or perhaps she said something that made those she was asking to give her strength confused. The oracles of the universe probably misunderstood and gave her the wrong result. It happens to tons of witches– it’s like trying to level with a genie. It’s extremely difficult, you can’t use any figuratively language otherwise they just wouldn’t understand in the slightest.
“Well it doesn’t matter now I guess, since I can’t reverse what has happened.” Another sigh from her, should she just kick him out at this point than? She could if she really wanted to, give him the boot and send him sprawling outside, but at the same time she could use the other if she really wanted to. Hold him hostage and have him be her bargaining chip! Perhaps that’ll give her the lucky dime!
