Aura's nest was abandoned while she was the only egg inside. Her strange, black egg had deterred her screech owl parents from staying. Despite having no warmth to keep her safe, Aura hatched, popping out covered in fluffy blue down! Though the abandonment in egg development did its damage- the little owl is blind in her right eye. That doesn't stop her from taking part in everything a little screech owl gets to do in their lives! Aura is on the hunt for a new home where she can hunt mice in peace and quiet. This one-of-a-kind piece of artwork sports a body needle felted by hand entirely out of wool, with sturdy, detailed beak and feet sculpted from polymer and apoxie clay, and glass doll eyes. Its soft body is felted over a wire skeleton, making it super sturdy. Her head can swivel just like a real owl! "Aura" makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys owls, unique pieces of art, wildlife, or all of the above! My mixed media art dolls are one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork, and are not intended for children. Owlipoppen Anyone else remember these little owl dolls? I don’t think they were mentioned much in the series but they sound adorable... I may draw some more at some point
