Villaver, 2020
In this model of communication, which I’ll call the “Villaver, 2020”, contains a similar structure to Eugene White’s model. For a reason that, upon reading about it, I agree and have a mutual feeling as to how he views communication. Technically speaking, it’s that he sees communication to be continuous, “without a beginning or end,” and two-sided, having feedback present once a side has conversed, as to why it’s cyclical. And as to why mine is structured in the same way. Now going into detail with the alterations and adjustments I felt were needed for the model I’ll be constructing from scratch, as it can be seen, mine is a lot more simplistic, not having many elements to it, and that would be due to my preference of not taking too many things into account. Mine starts with the sender, first encoding or brainstorming the message, then it is passed on through the medium the message will be sent through. Now then acquired by the recipient afterward, then the recipient will decode and formulate feedback to determine agreement, disagreement, or mutual understanding, and then it will end up with the sender. Noise was also added in the mix, since I view it as unavoidable, especially since a lot of unknown factors can end up affecting the sending, receiving, and other processes.
