character in general: Derek Venturi. WHAT AN ASSHOLE. ok no jk. I loved watching Life with Derek tbh and I loved Derek. Sure he was the stereotypical rebel / arrogant / laid-back teen but he was ALSO VERY LIKABLE TOO because you can tell he cares a lot about his family even if he doesn’t show it. I loved his interactions with Casey and his younger siblings and I just sasasas I wanna go rewatch now.how they play them: oh god it’s just like wATCHING THE SHOW ALL OVER AGAIN.fantastic, really, actual Derek Venturi bye.the mun: Haven’t spoken to them much but I’ve seen them on my dash and on a few other blogs – they seem really nice and sweet. <3

follow them: YES!rp with them: Sadly no.want to rp with them: OF COURSE.ship their character with mine: I could see them being an epic BROTP. He can brag to all his friends that he’s bros with that one girl who fights crime on TV all the time. “I’m FINE.... I’m coping.” He wasn’t convincing himself, he didn’t SOUND fine. He gulped before looking up at his sibling. He liked NORA... they couldn’t have asked for a better step-mom. She was kind and actually seemed to CARE. He just wished he had called her MOM. However, thinking of their DAD, made the tears want to fall down his cheek. Their dad who did EVERYTHING he could, GEORGE VENTURI, who would often joke ( badly ), play guitar ( badly), cook (badly). It didn’t matter how BAD their dad was at a lot of things, he still TRIED and now they’d never listen to his jokes, his guitar playing or eat his cooking again and that’s all Edwin wanted. He WANTED his parents back. His dad and n... his mom. He wanted to watch the game on the couch, he even wanted to help NORA like he did when they were decorating that basement room. She hadn’t knocked ; Derek’s Smarti never needed to. The door creaks open so her face can be seen by her eldest brother. Perhaps he’s busy, perhaps he’s not, but she’s desperate to speak with him.

Dark eyes stare at the floor for a second as she contemplates how to explain it. The issue wasn’t even one she could easily lay out for herself, let alone someone outside her very unique mind. A complex problem for an underachiever - it didn’t sound good on paper, but Marti believed Derek could and would help.

And the second after that, she’s moving towards him,  using her devious skills to scale the side of his bed and plop herself next to the boy.
