Is this how you become a studyblr? By avoiding studying through taking pictures of the only clean parts of your desk? (No but really 2 cm to the right is a pile of unneeded notes that I can’t be bothered to go through)

Anyway.. dissertation work is well underway. Goal for the day: results and methods draft 1 complete

A tale of the last week (or so):

Started a PhD (and thus started reading again)

Made new friends and found a great beer bar (it’s still so weird living somewhere where bars are open)

Explored the nearby lakes and spent time in the sun

Been a wild few weeks. Moved halfway across the world during a pandemic, turned 25, was quarantined in an AirBnb with no WiFi for 6 day’s, moved to a new apartment to finish the rest of my quarantine, and (most importantly), started my PhD.

Got to spend time outside walking today which was much needed. Ready to finish off the quarantine and start work in the lab

Day trip to Den Bosch for residence permit things meant having to read on trains and in cute coffee shops.

The bossche bollen were a great post climbing treat, and made the trip well worth it

Guess who has 2 thumbs and was just diagnosed with asthma

Guess it makes sense why my cheat has been super tight and I haven’t been able to get a full breath in recently. Here’s to hoping I can get back to mountain biking now that I’ve got meds to help me breathe

Absolutely crushed myself on the mountain today but we’re still smiling (despite the bumps and bruises)

Got back on the trail I crashed on last week to get my confidence back up. Despite it being very hot, it was a gorgeous ride (as usual, tbh)

Decided to change up the study location for the day. Not sure if I’m more productive or less productive here but at least the mental state is better
