Oxjam Leeds 2013
We are very excited to announce that Oxjam Leeds Takeover is back in the city for 2013!
The foundations were laid by an amazing team of volunteers in 2012. The aim this year is to build upon that success to make Oxjam Leeds Takeover 2013 bigger and better and to establish ourselves as a permanent fixture in the local music calendar.
Oxjam is Oxfam’s music festival with events being held across the UK in hundreds of towns and cities all run by volunteers who know and love their local music scene with a passion for fighting poverty and social inequality.
Over 1 million people have been to an Oxjam gig! So far there have been over 3500 Oxjam events! Since 2006 Oxjam events have raised over £2 million for Oxfam!
This year we are planning to create a diverse line up incorporating a huge array of styles and genres of bands and artists. The goal of Oxjam Leeds is to promote, support and champion the masses of musical talent that Leeds and Yorkshire has to offer whilst raising money to help the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
If you are in a Leeds or Yorkshire based band / artist please send us links to music to check out! Leeds based promoters please send us details of any gigs, events or club nights that are happening!
Stay tuned for further information about our events, volunteering opportunities and band of the day. We will regularly announce details of other local gigs and happenings to attend and fresh new releases from local artists too.
Please share and spread the news that Oxjam Leeds Takeover 2013 is back in town.
Local Scene, Global Impact!
