“I don't feel.
No one wants to understand.
I know what they call me—"the Machine"—and they're right.
I do not love my family.
I experience no joy.
If you ever see me smile, frown, laugh, or cry, I'm pretending, waiting for it to become real.
But it never will. It's the side-effect.”
I know very little about this OXV. and could find no information on whether the project is related or not to Brooklyn/Puerto Rican duo OxV but I do know I can’t help but bounce along joyfully to OXV.’s remix of AlunaGeorge’s I’m In Control. While we’ve been focusing in on the latest tunes surfacing from AlunaGeorge’s highly anticipated sophomore album, OXV. affords us a welcome re-visit of this Popcaan featuring treat, but in a more tropical buoyant manner that blends house with dancehall. It’s a lustrously uplifting take on the ever infectious jam, and it’s a free download, here.
