10 most anticipated shows from GMMTV 2026

i got home late last night from a cursed thing called death note the musical, and immediately spent the next 2.5 hours watching every single trailer that dropped, which basically felt like watching the musical a second time, so i needed a full business day to recover and think about everything. i have not seen anyone's reactions On Here yet and i'm excited to, but here are my top 10 most anticipated shows based solely on the pilot trailers.

there are gmmtv pairings whose shows i will indiscriminately slurp up regardless, so these are really about the concepts we saw and how much they appealed to me, regardless of director (i haven't really checked to see who's working on what) and whether we think they'll actually drop in 2026. they're in vague order, counting down to the ones i am already seated for.

10. Enemies with Benefits

starting light but it's office rivals gl which is chef's kiss, and i trust janhae to serve funny and plucky protagonist who can also tug on your heartstrings a bit, and her chemistry with jingjing looks so promising, and the cast is big and lovable. i think this is going to be a good time.

9. My Professional Boyfriend

every time a cp has a breakout show, i'm always excited to see what they'll do next, and i think that explains about half of the shows on this list, including winnysatang's next series. winny's character doesn't seem to be too much of a departure from lava, but p'jojo saw the vision of a sluttier satang and i really hope he gets to be a seductive little firecracker in this one.

8. Lovers and Gangsters

we're getting a lot of gang/mafia settings from gmmtv next year, and honestly this pilot trailer was pretty incoherent, but i saw greatbright and blacked out, so that's a positive. then i realized book plays the little brother who joins a rival gang and doesn't that have potential. anyway, this is going to be chaotic but i have faith in the acting.

7. Kiss me, Remember?

that line at the end—"i want to kiss you, but i don't want to see anything anymore"—sealed the deal for me. i'm excited for barcode's transformation, i'm excited for the angst and bittersweet moments and the unfolding dread as his character regains his memories. also i think it's really funny that his new cp partner is named kin(n).

6. Oxytoxin

look, i know i shouldn't get my hopes up, but if the show retains even 20% of the vibes of the pilot, i will be on board. do we know why these girls talk like they're part of a secret society in a dark academia ya novel? or why everyone is obsessed with them like they're the lisbon girls? no, but this pilot was shot like the ditto mv and i'm easy. bonus points for the sapphic stuff but pleeeaassse god just give me 10-12 episodes of whatever this was.

5. Twenty One

this type of show just feels right for juniormark. i loved the slow progression from shared heartbreak to the discovery of compatibility, to cohabitation, and then finally to the emotional push-pull of a good friends to lovers that i am always craving. we've seen that they can pull off bickering, and hurt-comfort, and a slow-simmering romance, and i really think this show could be perfect for them and for me. (also, mark looks so good with his buffer physique?)

4. You Maniac

already obsessed with the toxic4toxic setup—it's going to let williamest inhabit new personality types while still maintaining the passionate/impassive dynamic that underpinned their chemistry in thamepo. these characters are absolutely going to wreak havoc on each other's world views and i'm here for it. also barcode being a little shit-stirrer? yes please.

3. Moonshadow

please, you knew they would be here. i almost put my fist through my pillow when bonnie said the words, "i want to be your sugar baby" and looked up at emi with those boba eyes. this feels like uncharted territory for gmmtv, i'm so happy my queens get to take us there, and i'm more than ready for this mess. ugh, the flavor.

2. Arrest & Action

i'm 1000% sure there is rancid discourse happening about this pilot right now but i can't hear it over the sound of my gleeful cackling. first of all, it's a buddy cop kind of show, which i have been on my knees begging for. skynani have natural love-hate chemistry and i know sky, at least, has the comedic chops to make it work. genuinely, i hope people can appreciate the meta commentary of going undercover as a y-series couple as something camp and tongue-in-cheek, but i already know that's expecting too much from certain swathes of the fandom. i'll enjoy the hell out of the series either way.

1. 17th Spring

i was charmed by chokun and aston in boys in love, even if i found their characters unmemorable. but halfway through this pilot trailer and i was fully captivated by than and marn, the way they try to learn each other and heal each other in that clumsy youthful way that always makes me want to bawl. the grief of it all! also, papangpodd as imperfect father figures trying their best (they really have adopted chokunaston huh...) is gonna get me good. this series has the potential to be so breathtaking. DO NOT FUCK THIS UP FOR ME P'NEW
