Endeavor Absurd | Olympia, Gemini, and Juneau
The silence in space was always slightly unnerving to Olympia, no matter how many time she ventured out into it. Even her jetpack, though she could feel the vibration of it through the back of her armor, made no noise.
Olympia was nervous about this mission, more nervous than almost any mission before. Who knew whether Phoenix was still going to screw up, whether she would have issues with Gem, whether they would be the crazy screwup team. Again. Olympia had been hoping that it wouldn't, but who could be sure? All the training in the world might not make a difference here.
The little indicator on her helmet showed the trajectory of her flight and the number of feet until the ship. The gap was closing faster than she expected.
"June, once we get in, stick close. We don't the rookie getting lost again," Olympia muttered into her radio, a tiny smirk poking at the corners of her lips. The gap was closing...300 feet. 250 feet. The hulking mass of the alien vessel grew closer and closer, and Olympia could make out the exquisite craftmanship. Even if the Covvie's were horrible brutes, at least they had style.
