Aurora & Zadrian | Flashback | Young gods
After the night Aurora and Zadrian spent together there was something peaceful between them she couldn’t really describe. As if the constant tension between them had been satisfied and the loaded question that always got the both of them on edge no longer filled the space between them. The acceptance of the fact that their relationship had turned into something beyond normal and healthy was actually quite the relieve because there was no longer any need to pretend it was. Though the boundaries of what was normal and healthy had faded a long time ago for the Dougals. They hadn’t spent time in the real world for years and their lifestyle was hardly realistic. Yet it was the only reality they knew. It was their truth. Their life. Their normal. They no longer knew any better. There was no one to tell them to do it differently, to point out that they were walking a thin line, that would lead them to pure insanity. None of it seemed to matter. Aurora felt happy in this period of her life. Everything was right, twisted perhaps, but right. Zadrian was more protective of her than ever. She actually stopped sleeping with other men because of it. She didn’t want to anger or sadden him. They were in a good place. She didn’t want to mess that up. “Hey…” she said with a soft smile while standing in the door opening of his room.
