(MTL vs ReTL)
It's getting a bit ridiculous.
Bihyung cheekily calls Kim Dokja "Kim Constellationja-nim".
The MTL hid a funny Uriel moment.
This is what the MTL had
Yoo Joonghyuk was next and he enjoyed an unprecedented popularity. There was even some sound on the second floor when he came out. It felt like I heard the name 'Eden' so I didn't know how to feel.
This is the ReTL
Yoo Joonghyuk was next, and he also enjoyed considerable popularity. There was even some noise, faint though it was, from the second floor when he came out. It sounded a bit like someone from <Eden> was chanting my name paired together with his, but that might have just been my imagination.
Significant/Notable Ebook differences in Part 1 Volume 7
As always, there are many little details that have been changed between ebook and the serialized version that we are not listing here but may or may not have added to ours. Here are some of the more interesting ones instead.
There are a number of times where Kim Dokja's reactions were removed in the ebook, making him seem more apathetic/chill. One example of this is Kim Dokja being more openly shaken by Nirvana's comments about his mother in the original (expressed in narration), which was removed in ebook. Some of these reaction changes include his "distasteful" moments (in quotes because our translators believe these edits were made because the fans thought Kim Dokja was too much of a dickhead, so the ebook toned it down. Our team disagrees, personally) where he's being petty and rude, specifically toward Iris. One example is Kim Dokja mentally cheering Yoo Joonghyuk on by telling him to smack her. It was changed to giving her a noogie instead in the ebook. We have kept the original versions for all of these instances to maintain the serialized characterization of Kim Dokja.
Nirvana's battle was tweaked to be more descriptive, along with lines changed for character consistency and to make the fight and conversations more understandable. The same goes for the conversations between Reinhart and Kim Dokja and Jung Heewon later on in the volume. We've kept these changes due to them enhancing but not changing the scene.
In chapter 144, the original line has Han Sooyoung only placing her hand on Kim Dokja's cheek. The ebook changed this to her pinching and pulling it instead. We didn't want to get rid of the original version, but felt the change was made by the authors for characterization consistency, so we have decided to merge the two.
The ebook removed the line about Kim Dokja's soul body being bare and without genitals. We've kept the original.
Ebook changed Dionysus's question about what Kim Dokja did with Persephone from implying they had sex to just implying they were flirting. They've also tweaked other aspects of the Dionysus and Kim Dokja conversation. We've kept the original throughout.
The instances of Kim Dokja being called ugly by Iris were replaced by other descriptors in the ebook. As we did in the previous volume, we have kept the ebook changes because we believe this is a consistency change made by the authors based on how the "filter" over Kim Dokja's face works. The same goes for the instance in chapter 151 with Lee Dongrim calling Kim Dokja Sleeping Beauty "Without the actual beauty, though." It was removed in ebook, but we kept it because it's a funny line.
In chapter 148: ebook changed Kim Dokja covering Yoo Joonghyuk's mouth to interrupt to him from speaking to just him cutting him off. We kept the original.
Just something funny, but some of the curse words in the serialized have been removed. Most of them are from Lee Jihye and Han Sooyoung. It is most likely censorship for ratings, since the ebook was to be published.
The Pinkies scene with Han Sooyoung and Lee Hyunsung was tweaked. Han Sooyoung in the serialized version brought attention to them being men who dressed as women. The ebook version has her putting more focus on them being specifically ahjussis (men who are old enough to be expected to have children) and that they like acting like little girls. We kept the ebook version because it's more tasteful.
Also with the Pinkies, one of the men (Bang Tako's) actions were changed from being implied he will assault children (or using them for other purposes) to cannibalism and infant murder. We kept the original.
When Lee Hyunsung and Kim Dokja reunite, Lee Hyunsung started grabbing Kim Dokja's arm or touching his head, clearly marveling (and happy) he's alive. The ebook changes this to be him pushing his back or tugging on his hair, and punching his arm to see if he's real. We kept the original.
Kim Dokja insults Han Sooyoung in chapter 154. Our team couldn't come to a consensus if we liked the serialized version or the ebook version of the insult better, so we combined them.
Chapters 158 and 159 were merged into one chapter in the ebook. We didn't do it here.
The various conversations between party members in chapter 162 are expanded with some things replaced. Some of these changes we added to combine dialogue. Most of it is still the same as the serialized version, outside of narration expansions.
The prophecy for Kim Dokja changed from the serialized version's "the person" to "the one" he loves the most in ebook, along with various dialogue changes to match it. We have kept the original due to it being a significant and far-reaching change rather than just a small tweak, the result of which changes the course of their future conversations and discussions even past volume 8.
Kim Dokja describes/admires Han Sooyoung in more detail in the final chapter in the ebook as opposed to the serialized. We decided to keep the original because we could not combine the existing with the ebook version in a way the team could agree on without changing too much wording/phrasing from the Korean version, and because we did not want to lose the serialized version. The official will have all of the ebook changes in their version.

This guy, man. Cracking us up.
If you guys are still taking requests, could I request that one scene from the constellation banquet with Kim Dokja and Uriel?
That's our MVP constellation right there.
People seem to enjoy the comparison posts, so here are some notable corrections we found in this chapter so far. Sometimes we wonder if we ever actually read ORV at all.
