Plz plz make the "I say we tip something over!!" Gifset ending with "Get the lifeguard!!" That's one of my favorite SpongeBob lines ever and I don't think there's a gifset of it
I was going to originally, but I thought the last gif was too jumpy so I scrapped it. I will remake it for you though! Give me a couple of minutes and then I’ll post a gifset with all four gifs.Thank you for your request!
After what felt like forever, a long delay in a HELLA HOT place, and tons of questioning about what possessed me to dye my hair pink and purple... I am here! 2,090 miles from home with my squidddddie!! I didn't have nightmares! Praise the heavens! I did have a ton of pain, but weh that's not news. I slept and slept and slept this morning after the boy went to work, so now I feel like a million bucks! Excited to adventure this side of the country for the next 5 days!
Bronycon Post 2.0 - Now Much More Subjective, and With Pictures!
Since the last one is a wall of boring objective text I figured I'd fix that.
If you read nothing else, the last three or four paragraphs were the best parts of the con for me.
First thing's first: Bronycon was my first con and it was goddamn amazing.
Day one was uneventful, whether you count that as Thursday or Friday. This was the first time I'd seen herefortheponies and his brother in four years so rooming with them was great.
Saturday things got great. I started tracking down signatures from musicians and I bought most of the stuff I'd buy all weekend.
Ran into Vitaly Alexiuss of romanticallyapocalyptic (you have to check out their site at rom.ac)
After buying... far too much at his booth I jumped in line somehwere to get autographs with BlackGryph0n and Baasik. That was cool.
Saturday night though was when the whole con got amazing. I dragged my friends to BronyPalooza to catch the first few sets. p1kenobi was goddamn amazing, so were dbpony and balladoftarby even though his set was the night before.
micthemicrophone jumped up though and holy shit. Besides just kicking ass on the stage Mic talked about someone who he'd seen perform earlier, someone who moved him because he saw so much of himself in him, and he dedicated the set to him. It got better, when he pulled this guy up onto the stage to perform the last song.
I'll be honest, I've never been prouder to be in this fandom, or ever really felt more like a part of it than I did right there. Mic was hanging out in the booth next to ours most of the next day so of course I got his autograph too.
wow I'm not attractive.
But really, the coolest person I saw all weekend was Tarby. Sunday I'd been tracking down autographs and couldn't find him, and shot out a tweet saying just that, but that I had a great time anyways. Just a little while later, as the con was ending I got a tweet from him saying "I'll be in outside the convention in a little bit - otherwise, hit me up afterwards and we can work something out~"
After a stunned moment I obviously went straight back down the street to the con center (and eventually a hotel lobby). I thought, right up until the last moment, that this was going to be an actual thing for signing a bunch of autographs. When I realized it was just me I freaked out a little bit. Taking the time to get one fan an autograph is the coolest thing.
Thanks again for that.
The weekend had one last great moment waiting for me though. Sitting in the airport my friends and I just grabbed the first seats we could find and talked for a bit, and then I looked up. Who do I see sitting across the way? Tarby, again.
My friend points out his laptop and asks me if I think he's on tumblr, and judging from a very recent post, he was. So we get the idea into our heads that it'd be hilarious if we took a picture of him and submitted it to him, which despite the airport wifi's best efforts we did. Luckily once we revealed ourselves he thought it was more funny than creepy so we got to talk for a few minutes. Reinforcing once again that Tarby is the coolest guy.
Thanks for all the memories guys, can't wait to do this again.
