I started a fic about this AU and I decided I wanna do a little more with it, so I wanted to try an ask blog (if not this would be a good place to collect all my ideas at least) This AU features Joker (or Akira for this story) and Yusuke as partners at their own Tattoo business; with help and/or shenanigans from the others. Mostly because I wanted to design tattoos for the PTs.

AU setting is No Metaverse and a several years out of school (most everyone is in their early 20’s) I have my own headcannon couples, but we love and appreciate polythievery in this home. Posts may get NSFW but will be tagged appropriately.

Persona 5 AU Marie Verse

Story: A Persona 5 AU based on the events of the single-shot anime ‘Persona 5: The Daybreakers’ A 2nd year student at Kosei High, Mariko “Marie” Kusumi accidentally enters the metaverse when the app installed itself on her phone and she was talking about the school’s principal, mentioning the 3 keywords without her knowledge. Confused, Marie witnessed the Principal’s shadow berate what he truly believes is art and confesses to having Kazuya and his gang bully certain students in the school at the orders of someone else. Angered and (understandably) shocked, Marie awakened to her Persona and her outfit changed. 

But regardless she was defeated and nearly dies; had another Persona User come in and kill the shadow before she lost consciousness. All Marie remembers is a black (or was it red?) mask before she wakes up hours later at the infirmary, having been found knocked out near the hallway. It’s then that she learns of the Principal’s death, and recalls what she experienced. 

Thinking it all a hallucination, Marie confirms with her phone. The metaverse app is still there. What she experienced was real. She witnessed a murder. 

Asshole or not, Marie isn’t going to let this go. After recovery, Marie heads into the subway to try out the app alone in a bathroom, and enters a Palace. Realizing her powers, and training after a while, she finds a cognitive shadow of a Kazuya and confronts him. After defeating him, Marie demands to know who is the one in the black mask and why did the director had to die. 

All Kazuya mutters is ‘Phantom Thieves’ before the shadow dissipates. 

“The Phantom Thieves...” Marie’s heard of them.Supposedly they got that weird art guy to confess...the same way Kazuya just did. If she has this power, then the Phantom Thieves’ change of hearts means they’re likely Persona Users too. 

With her goal set, Marie decides to hunt the Phantom Thieves and get answers. One way or another...

Marie’s story starts after Yusuke’s Dungeon ends. 

Her Thief nickname is: Avatar.

Skills: Uses Ice, Physical and Light Skills. She also has 2 unique sensory skills.

Desire Sensor, in which Marie can see what a person's deepest desires are. Kind of like being able to see a person's cognitive blueprint. High chance to inflict Forget status.

Fear Sensor, in which Marie can see a person's worst fears and use it against them. High Chance to inflict Fear status.

Marie uses a bamboo whip with spikes. Can bind, slash and mid chance to cause Dizzy status.

The Crossbow fires 1 shot or multiple consecutive shots. Has mid chance of causing Down status.

I’m not saying that Riku wasn’t adopted by a version of Maleficent in the P5AU, or that the reason his backstory in the P5AU involves a lot of teenage rebellion or gang references isn’t to act out against an unhappy lifestyle of relative ease and luxury...
