She/They - 23 - STEM Major Hello, I'm Gavala! I love to draw in my free time. I am currently studing for my masters in forensic chemistry. I am very slow with owed art due to my full time school + IRL responsibilities, but I am very grateful for all the love and support of everyone here.
Main interests include Kingdom Come Deliverance, FNAF, Hyv games.
Elliot Ludwig, the son of The Maker... He Who Brings Miracles to Life... and his shitty redhead business partner who isn't all that religious. (If you ask him, Jesus is lord, but cash is king, you know what i mean?)
They met when they were both in their early thirties, when Elliot Ludwig was looking to expand his business after investing in orphanages and contributed a large sum of his wealth to charity. Leith Pierre offered to become his expenses consultant before becoming an investor, then later member of the board of Playtime Co. The two were very good friends, and Elliot saw only the best in Leith. If anything, Elliot was also just grateful to have a friend who didn't treat him the way everyone else in his life did: he treated him as a normal human being.
Leith Peirre was never actually fully aware of what Elliot Ludwig was capable of, that is until he found out first hand what had happened to his poor, late children. Being the godfather of Oliver meant he was in for quite the shock when he got a "call" from the boy beyond the grave. Simply a child's prank... but perhaps not as funny when you're dead.
When Elliot Ludwig died, Leith's more "opportunistic" side came out, having waiting for over a decade to lay claim to this business, he had every desire to keep growing it. I like to think there really was a part of him that thought he could maintain Elliot's vision, then found out that he was The Miracle Maker, and thought wow-- now how can we do that, without him?
I think there's also some level of desire that Leith has to do something without Elliot there to overshadow him. When your business partner is the son of god, it becomes very hard to feel like you're doing much in life at all.
Jesus and Judas iconography is more likely than you think...
So, what’s the deal with Lily, Mommy and Delight? Is there anything new or interesting about these three?
Thank you for the ask!! Here's a little ramble about the girls hehe, I'm still writing up some of the details but a lot of little changes have been made across the board.
Yapping under the cut <3
I realize I should preface with some terms/background info, because my AU (Inheritance in Blood) is ridiculously complicated.
Vessels are the toys/bigger bodies/any non-human entity that has a human inside of it in one way or another. Vessels like the prototype, poppy, and Oliver are known as miracles and are effectively immortal/do not need to eat, etc. and usually do not decay or have any psychological side effects from their death. Miracles can only be made by the miracle maker.
Hubris Vessels are the standard vessels, and will naturally decay overtime, need upkeep, can die and usually come with a handful of psychological side effects. They can be made by anyone, but require a certain skill in medical science to successfully insert the body into the vessel.
Playtime Co. founded by Elliot Ludwig, is the daughter company of Magnus. Magnus is an old textiles company and the front of a small religious organization. Magnus has been trying to find the Miracle Maker, a gifted messiah who can perform miracles. Elliot Ludwig is that Miracle Maker and the one who is capable of making the Miracle Vessels.
The Hour of Joy has been replaced. When Elliot Ludwig died and Leith Pierre took over, Playtime Co. and Magnus were transformed into a cycle of death to learn, innovate, and create more vessels in an attempt to harness the miracles without their miracle maker. The company closed their doors to the public and fired any employee who was not "in" on the knowledge of their actions, effectively creating a very small and very guilty team of workers in a closed compound factory.
When Harley Sawyer died at the hands of Dr. White and the Research team, this awoke something known as The Prototype. The prototype, the vessel of the late Elliot Ludwig, became so enraged with what had become of his life's work, that he locked the factory down and trapped everyone inside. Harley Sawyer's death was just the final straw that caused him to awaken.
To this day, the factory still works. There's still shipments going out and deliveries going in, and humans who still survive... all under the watchful and angry eye of the Prototype. Toys, Humans.. anything in between are all subject to his imprisonment until such a day that either they all suffer a death worth his rage, or he discovers the answer to the final miracle: the miracle of life.
If you wouldn't listen to him while he was your savior, perhaps you'll listen to him while he's your jailer.

Miss Delight is one of the earliest non human entities to work at playtime co. She was designed in tandem by Elliot Ludwig and Harley Sawyer (Who, at the time, was apart of the Young Minds Genius Program) for the newly refurbished orphanage and playcare at Playtime Co. and is a robotic assistant.
Her main goal has always been to comfort and connect with the children.
In her original form (1970s) she was a stationary machine that was fixed at the front of a classroom and taught various subjects and gave answers questions, but Harley Sawyer had drafted several concepts for a free-roam variant which would later be completed by the Innovation team when they turned her into a Vessel in the 90s.
Her vessel is filled by a woman named Guinevere Waller who was one of the many attendants and caretakers at the orphanage. When she became aware of the more sinister side of Playtime Co after the death of Elliot Ludwig, she became wary and tried to leave. Naturally, that wasn't allowed.
There's only one of her in this version of the story, and she is a fiercely loyal and vicious vessel who has become very violent and vindictive over time. She follows the Prototype in his reign of terror over the compound. She will attack any human she sees, with the exception of children.

Mommy Longlegs is the innovation team's solution to a very big problem that has arisen with the development of their vessels: adults are extremely hard to "translate" into vessels, usually due to their very quick deterioration and mental state.
Children, especially smart children, are an ideal candidate for "eternal life." Elliot Ludwig was such a fierce protector and advocate for children, so perhaps they were the key to discovering the true nature of the miracles? That's their line of thought anyways.
Designed by Dr. White in tandem with Dr. Grace Forelle, Mommy Longlegs is indeed a vessel inhabited by an adult, one of the only adult vessels that is still in functioning order. Mommy is inhabited by Claire Harper, an attendant and caretaker from Playtime Co who was meant to be let go after Leith Pierre took over, but was insistent that she wished to remain working there.
Mommy Longlegs is designed to appear as the leader of a band. She employs the Bunny Parade, headed by Bonzo, in a number of intelligence-based games (usually musically related in some way) to provide tests to children. Children who pass a certain threshold are called Maestros and are selected to join Playcare for further testing, and those who do not pass that threshold simply are sent away to a different orphanage to be adopted out. (This helps to assist Playtime Co. in appearing as a legitimate orphanage system, as children still leave to be adopted.)
While Claire may not have been as... supportive of the "true" nature of Playtime Co, Dr. White has made it very clear that her choice is a permanent one. Over time, Mommy Longlegs has mentally deteriorated and only that strange, guilty loyalty remains. She does this because she must. She usually acts as an information gathering source for the Humans of Playtime Co. after the hour of joy, and still plays with and provides games to many of the toys.

Lily Lovebraids is a vessel for Dr. Grace Forelle, a behavior psychologist who lost her license due to medical malpractice and was brought onto the team by Dr. White. She is desperate for work after falling from grace, and therefore willing to do things she wouldn't usually do-- such as creating the persona "Miss Gracie" to work alongside the newly free-roaming Miss Delight made by the Innovation team to manipulate children before they became subject to vessel research.
When The Prototype first awoke, Grace Forelle was one of the humans most victim to his ire. Everything that she did, He forced the Innovation Team to create a vessel for her known as Lily Lovebraids, and had her turned into a vessel. Since then, he has broken and nearly killed her dozens of times, only to have her rebuilt.
She's lost her mind, becoming what we know today. Whether this is an effect of the Prototype's constant scrutiny or her own mind trying to protect itself... she's now what we know today.
Except, Elliot Ludwig has never been the type of person to enjoy suffering, and perhaps now... after the dust has settled, he pities what has become of her-- and himself. Their dynamic has taken a strange turn, and now Lily Lovebraids is the unlikely ally of the Prototype, both as someone he can talk to, and an assistant to his research in the Miracle of Life.
Maybe, just maybe, people can still be capable of change.
Some more exploration for my Poppy Playtime AU: Inheritance in Blood.
Featuring Oliver/Prototype 1, Harley Sawyer, and Poppy (1st/3rd page) and Lily Lovebraids, Mommy Longlegs, and Miss Delight (2nd page)
Lots of lore to be had here, yapping under the cut...
Poppy, the first of the living toys, takes on a much older look inspired by the actual poppy dolls. She is a living marionette that stands at about 4'9" and is a scholar primarily. She loathes this immortal look, but at least she's not a "doll." Elliot Ludwig created this lifelike body to preform a miracle: to preserve the soul beyond death. It was the first of his many miracles he preformed while on Earth.
By all intents and purposes, Oliver, the second of the living toys, is the "Prototype" of this au, (Although, the role of the prototype is actually designated to Elliot Ludwig) -- Olliver is a 1961 phone toy, I thought it was generally befitting for the timeline of my au and how he came to be the way he is; a toy found in a child's bedroom... he represents the voice on the phone, sure... but he also represents the singular "line" to Elliot Ludwig, the only way to contact him from beyond his heavenly sanctum.
As for Harley Sawyer... the thousand-something'th of the living toys, his condition came only after Elliot Ludwig was returned to the ether. A rather interesting experiment, stemming from a hubris that they could recreate the miracles that Elliot performed: a half-hearted result, but nothing he can't improve on.
Harley has been developing a handful of robotic-type bodies for various things, although all of his designs are inspired by the musculature and nervous systems and come across quite uncanny.
He gave Oliver an old prototype (lol) body to use, allowing him freedom of movement after being trapped in the phone for many, many years.
It doesn't really take a messiah to create a living toy, as playtime co discovered; but the true preservation of the soul is reserved only for the ordained. These "impure" living toys will eventually die, decaying overtime as an affront to the promised. Oliver, Poppy, and Elliot cannot die by natural means, they have no need to eat-- as if perfectly suspended for their ascension.
Only the inheritors of Elliot's divine missive can do this: Oliver and Poppy, his beloved children, are his legacy. Capable of creating immortal vassals just as their father did. This is how they managed to preserve Elliot after his death, and proof of their lordship.
So, you can imagine their surprise when one "Yarnaby," a living experiment by Harley Sawyer of all people, had no need for food. It seems a third inheritor has come onto consecrated grounds: despite his very mortal and finite existence after death.
hmmm yea, i love taking mascot horror and sending it wildly in a random direction, amen to our lord and savior Elliot Ludwig
“Oh wows I hopes nothing goes wrong in Barovia!” He saids excitedlys… little did he know, he was in the Evils and Fucked Ups Barovia…. He was then promptly thrown out of Vallaki to fend for himself for the night…

Some more doodles under the cut, content warning for some doll body booty and blood….

My curse of Strahd Paladin of Vengance, Salem Gravenhall. He's totally normal and can be trusted at all times! Totally normal! Totally okay!
Playing a vampire character in COS was totally a good choice and has not caused any problems, ever. Bitches love his vampiric aura.
“This time, however, I will carry you in my arms.” Not that Harley is any stronger. He knows that this is only the beginning. Whatever it was— whatever that thing was that killed his mentor? It wouldn’t stop now. He can feel the heavy burden of his inheritance on his shoulders, holding the selfless and loving ‘father’ he once adored in his arms. “See where this got you? What did you die for, really?”
She books on my store till i [LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER NOISE]
posting some OC content; I love my little guys so much it makes me sick... I'd love to share more of them but I'm always so bad at introducing concepts...
basically; two college boys get roped up working for a strange bookstore. turns out? the owner is a witch. they have to keep her secret, she makes them go on weird little side gigs to help her with her projects. they've got other friends who start to notice somethings wrong, very slice-of-life meets monster-of-the-week... rolling around
